  1. Parting out my project - 1985 Mtech 1 E30. Uk import 323 sport. $$$$$$ spent over christmas 2010. Receipts can be provided. You will not be dissapointed with parts, lots of new gaskets/bolts/nuts etc used, and most parts given a tickle up only a few months ago, so will literally bolt on with little hassle, cleaning or $ to pretty up. All mounts etc were new 6 months ago, literally every lock nut in the car was replaced No time wasters or dreamers, no money no part Car will start to be parted next week, if you want your name on something, 25% deposit required. General - 85 E30 coupe shell, rust in the usual spots, paint is fuct, random aftermarket front bumper (BBS?) Mtech 1 skirts and rear end. BMW NZ towbar. Will not be rolling, No front seats or dash or steering wheel, but everything else is there. Electric windows, Electric sunroof. Front glass is new. Spare wheel is bottle cap alloy. Likely includes anything that isnt listed seperatly here. Ask if unsure. $500 E36 318 radiator with built in tank, Near as new condition (6 mths old), made it taiwan if I recall (not shitty chinese one anyway). Brand new radiator cap. $100 - SOLD E30 Tech 1 front and rear kit, Greenish colour, good condition $300 - SOLD E30 Pfl bumpers, decent nick, chrome will clean up well $150 14" Electric fan with Davis Craig thermoswitch $50 - SOLD E30 dash, clean and tidy condition, few little cracks but not bad $100 - SOLD E30 Tech 1 steering wheel, clean and tidy $150 4x100 17" Alpina replicas, very nice condition, one has very minor curbing from memory. Mint 3 month old Toyo T1R 215/40/17's! Includes hubcentric adapters $900 SOLD Recaro's, forget the name (same as Evo 3/ M3 evolution) grey, Average but totally usable condition. Reclinable on approved sliding rails to suit E30 coupe. $300 SOLD 1 week old battery (yeh...) $100 (Cost $150) E30 Battery in boot kit - Complete $80 SOLD Driveline - M50B25 (NV) out of an E34. BLOWN HEAD GASKET . Runs fine and other than the headgasket is pretty good. Lots of new seals, new waterpump etc etc etc etc went into it a few months ago. Includes loom to adapt to this E30, computer etc. New 02 sensor. No flywheel or engine mounts, but everything else you would expect on engine $400. Includes new oil filter and a bunch of random gaskets for it (not head gasket ) SOLD M20B23 single mass flywheel, machined to fit M50. ~6kg. Was cleaned up and resurfaced for clutch during swap. Includes uprated LUK pressure plate, kevlar disc, throw out bearing etc. Consider the clutch only broken in! $250 - SOLD Getrag 260 Gearbox, shifts perfectly, no noises etc. Redline fluids in it. All seals replaced and box cleaned up $400 SOLD Driveshaft, new guibo, new hanger bearing, new bolts and nuts $100 - SOLD Z3 Shifter, with all new bushes etc. $80 - SOLD 3.64 LSD, Less than 40,000 km on this diff! It is mint, Redline fluids in it. Polyurethane mount. Probably the best E30 LSD diff for sale in NZ at the moment! $800 - SOLD 325 halfshafts, new inner CV boots - $80 SOLD E30/M50 Exhaust. Custom made 6-2-1 headers, 2.5" with 1 resonator and 2 mufflers. Ready to bolt on. Sounds the sh*t! $1000 - PENDING E30 brake disks and pads, all four, near new condition. Will match pads to disks $100. SOLD Suspension - Front arms (steel) with lollipops, near new ball links, 95 ksi polyurenthane bushings on everything else. $200 for the pair - SOLD Rear suspension arms & centre, 95 Ksi polyurethane bushes on everything $200 for the whole thing. SOLD Whiteline Sway bars, with polyurethane bushes. 22mm front, Meyle HD links. 16mm adjustable rear $480 SOLD BC Gold adjustable coilovers, Tig'd to E30 51mm front strut. Near new condition, Includes all tools etc & NDT Cert for welding. $1000 - SOLD Front strut bar. Ultra racing, sprayed mat black and tweaked to fit E30 properly $50 SOLD E30 M50 Bits E30 M3 loom covers, as new, tweaked to fit M50. $150 E36 Arms with M5 engine mounts (correct ones, ie one for compression). Mint condition $150 - SOLD Getrag 260 Modified crossmember, E21 mounts (beefier than stock). Mint - $50 -SOLD Renault Clio booster, mint, with adapter to suit E30 master cylinder - $100 SOLD Will add more as I remember.

Dont waste my time, I know im not gonna get back what I spent, but it aint free Im about all out of time, and energy for dealing with it though. 1985 E30 tech 1 coupe, 323 Sport, UK import factory 5 speed getrag 260 M325 half shafts 3.64 LSD (less than 20,000 km on LSD!) M50B25, lots of new gaskets, new waterpump belts etc etc etc etc etc etc. Engine is mint with the exception of the headgasket! E36 arms, New M5 mounts 95KSi polyurethane bushes on everything. Whiteline sway bars, adjustable rear 17" Alpina reps, near new toyo T1R's (225x17x40) Recaro seats, sliding rails. Resonable interior Sony CD Brand new battery New front screen New radiator New rotors and pads New gearbox seals New gearbox mounts Z3 shifter with new bushes M3 loom covers Lightened M30B23 flywheel with kevlar cluth and uprated pressure plate Electric fan 2.5" exhaust, custom made equal length headers BC gold coil overs (have NDT cert for welding) Qaulity fluids (redline etc ) Replaced every single locknut in the car with a new BMW one while rebuilding this thing Plus lots other random little bits I replaced with new, receipts for everything. Exterior needs respray, easy to fix rust in rear gaurds and few other spots. Including pretty mint replacement tech 1 kit, and decent chrome bumpers. WOF and Reg for a few more months, no cert (was planning on doing the rust and respray first, wouldnt be hard to cert as it isnt a rangy conversion) Have receipts for $$$$$ (yeh thats 5) spent in last 7 months, with the exception of the head gasket, its mechanically sh*t hot.
  3. Cars been loosing coolant the last 2 months, just slowly. I assumed it was a leaky hose, probably one of the atshole ones for the heater core. Took the car in for it first service today, and too try hunt down the coolant leak. Dropped the oil, and found my coolant leak.. Head gaskets blown. Not feeling particularly impressed with the wrecker I bought the engine from who assured me they compression test and dont put fuct engines on the shelf when I asked.... In fact im thinking stronger words than not impressed are in order. Not loving bmw at the moment either Anything other than head gasket, studs, and a few random gaskets ill need to pull the head and spend more money on this thing? I couldve well and truely been running a rebuilt mint FJ20ET in this thing for what the M50 has cost now!
  4. +100 My e30/m50b25 sounds way tougher than it actually is, burbles at idle, sounds better than most M3's ive heard while screaming, and over-runs are awesome. I have cheap ass mufflers, single 2.5" exhaust, Coby resonator, chinese turbo muffler (added after as initially was far too loud), and the generic shiny twin tipped euro muffler on the back. I can imagine it'd sound like sh*t without the equal length 6-2-1 headers
  5. Whiteline 100% Fixed front, adjustable rear If ultraracing make their sway bars out of the same cheese based steel alloy they make the strut bars out of I seriously wouldnt bother. Ive put 5000 miles on mine so far, Gets the two thumbs up from me. Total bitch to install them, but worth the cursing. I have the 90Sha poly bushes on everything, 6kg springs with the BC golds (surpise surprise they still havent exploded... ), 215/45/17 tyres. Its not exactly a luxurious ride, but isnt ridiculously harsh, I think its sweet as for a spirited daily driver. The owner of a 750iL might think otherwise obviously

    Anyone know the p/n of the M20 heater hose at the back of the head to the lower heater core fitting on an E30? Struggling to identify it on realoem.
  7. Hey, Starter in my E30 M50 is being dicky, anyone got a good nick/rebuilt one? Mines still working, but think the solenoid is on its last legs, so wanna get ready to replace it Its running the standard big starter from the M20B23, but I think the smaller later model starter will bolt up as well.     Nice, yell out if you want help with wiring the M50, should be the same as my car. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=31249 You wont regret going M50, seriously shedloads better engine too drive than the M20. The numbers on paper dont look that different, but with the right diff ratio etc M50 e30's are surprisingly quick and just feel much happier while getting thrashed! Mates GTt Caldina and 3.0 Legacy 6 speed are no faster than my m50'd e30.

  11. You can order both chrome or schwarz retainer things for both prefacelift/facelift, the fronts have the same p/n, the rears are different. The window rubbers are different p/n front and rear between fl/pfl as well. Its got all confusing now I hope this fits together...
  12. According to OEM, nope. Not too sure what the difference is. Prefacelift - 51311913887 Front, 51311913888 Rear Facelift - 51311972248 Front, 51311972249 Rear The front retainer (molding per realoem) has the same p/n on both, but the rears are different...
  13. After both front and rear, the plastic bit that sits in the window rubber. Preferably with the joining clip bits (clips are cheap to ship new though ), must be in good/mint condition. And if anyone has a good source for new window rubbers in NZ, im all ears before I order some from denmark.

  19. Been in nelson last few weeks. Kept spotting an E46 M3 (replica maybe?) with what looked like a carbon bonnet and boot and a big ass spoiler on the back. Other than that everyone in nelson drives an R32 skyline....
  20. Didnt C2 2.5's start life as 323's? in the same way as 2.7's were 325's? Or do i have that screwed up. The rego seems fishy to me, as the vin is for a 325i It would either be registered as a 1987 BMW 323i, Or an Alpina C2 2.5, and not an 325i if I have that theory right
  21. The vin doesnt look alpina either, but it does look to have low miles (100k miles)
