  1. Coupe of problems if they decided on Clubsports, they seem to have a few rules that go with HSV ownership. 1 - No world leaders would take John Key seriously while sporting his mandatory mullet and goatee, and epic beer gut. 2 - We would need to replace them with the latest model every 3 mths to keep up with the Jones's 3 - The worlds supply of plastic mesh, ugly random cutouts, fake scoops, plasticky interiors and tacky gauges is in short supply. By purchasing 34 cars worth of them, We wouldnt be considered a responsible country to waste these valuable resources.... 4 - Every member of parliament would need to be issued with a mandatory HSV jacket and cap, with optional disturbing HSV tattoo.

    lol wtf

    Too much P for breakfast...
  3. Could probably fix the brace with some ~5mm packers to lift it up over the bumps in the top of the struts, and slotting the holes even further to get it too line up. Problem is that the load is then all on the 2 piddly strut studs, instead of the strut tower.
  4. ^ nup, but thats not the problem, check out the pic in the link.
  5. Beginnings of the cold airbox, and ultra racing strut brace installed, Think ill remove it as it doesnt fit very well (I can see the studs on the top of the strut snapping off...)
  6. Does you front strut bar ride up on the stiffening "lumps" in the top of the front struts? Just went to install mine and I rekon it fits like sh*t, and with the big slotted holes I doubt its gonna do jack in terms of resisting movement, all its doing is trying to snap the studs of the struts.. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....st&p=398995 Wondering if the strut tops on your e30 are different too mine, or you have a different brace??
  7. Just heard this from a mate, made me laugh. "Well, ya know, Hone is just a Post Tortoise." "What's a Post Tortoise?" "When you're driving and you come across a fence post with a Tortoise balanced on top, that's a post Tortoise. You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, he sure as hell isn't goin' anywhere, and you just wonder what kind of dumb bleep put him there in the first place."
  8. You guys who are bashing dole bludgers for sucking up the goverments funds have it a bit backwards, I used to do it too. I cant remember the actual figures off the top of my head, but dole bludgers and sickness benefit's didnt even come close to the money spent on pensions. Bashing old people for taking all the money isnt exactly tasteful though... Didnt the NZ police get offered 5 series awhile ago but settled on falcodores simply because of the public perception of cops in bimmers? Cocklozenge <- Epic word of the day!
  9. Wow is that nuts. Trying to work out how an MR2 box works on it???

    Classic Car show.

Ahhh, that makes more sense! Was wondering why there were so many porsche's, all in the best spot.

    Classic Car show.

Think I might have worded that wrong, wasnt bagging it at all. Was a cool display of M3's (obviously!) But even the Mrs asked, "where's the rest of the bmw's?" Was hoping that mint Alpina B7S would be there

That stratos was awesome, had lots of TVR want going on too. The "corvette" special pictured above was diabolical, epic american styling fail! Kinda cool in an I want to poke my eyes out kinda way. I was most impressed by the MG midget getting caned though, most of the ones ive seen seemed to be nana'd around by elderly gentlemen!
  13. Intake heat You can blank the system off easily enough, One fitting is on the "spider" hose, the other is off a fitting on the head, runs too the throttle body to de-ice it. or just put a k&N panel filter in it...

    Classic Car show.

Nice show, the motorkhana was cool to watch, MG midgets/minis owning camaros The Z club, Mini's, porsche and the italian displays were easily the best. BMW display was average, 7 or so 3 series from E30 onwards. E30 M3 & a Z8 in the masters though (both obviously immaculate). Where were all the 2002's, E21, E34's, Alpinas etc etc etc... ? In all honesty, for the bimmer nut, your probably better off walking around the carpark (As well!) Saw an E34 M5, and a nice blue 8somethink Some pics -
  15. The LC looks like a pokemon that just got slapped with a fish...
  16. Pity most of the public in NZ would think "what a weird looking VN commodore" Still rather have one lotus carlton over 3 dime a dozen HSV's
  17. ^ +1 , carlton is so shweet, never seen one in NZ though.
  18. What! No flame war!? Whats going on Fair play, be sure to start a project thread, im not really a rotary hater, more a of a rotary bongo hater. Workmate has a 20B cosmo (mint, stock) that is pretty friggin cool for a mazda. In all seriousness, I wouldnt worry about P/S either. I wonder what a quicker rack (e36 etc) without the p/s plumbing would be like with the lighter engine. Stock e30 rack has quite bus like ratio, feeling can be improved with suspension work though.
  19. p/s in e30's is for woosies, id imagine with a little 12A in it'll still be quite light, as opposed to putting a real engine in
  20. In the first vid, anyone else notice that his tach and speedo arent working.
