had this sitting around for years (came from a e34 525i I stripped many years back) the smaller type mtec 2 sterring wheel was suede , but had gone all sticking and shiney etc so had it redone in blackleather first auto auto trim in Tauranga did a great job will be swapping out the sleightly bigger one in my e28 M535i for this one and fitting that one into my e24 635csi

what they do is send out pics etc to a list of panel beaters and part suppliers to tender on it and wait to get quotes back from them most don't bother unless they are confident they can supply all the parts etc most likely bmw nz will be quoting for the parts side will be a really expensive list and probably quote on more parts than is really needed. I am getting a 07 M6 repaired with only frontal damage and I saw the parts quote and the panel beaters quote was HUGE!!!! so they wrote it off I have got the parts in myself and commissioning the same panel beater to do the repairs all done to a very high spec and with engineer certs etc for much much less than was quoted to the insurance company's. you need to take control of it as they will just fob you off etc . get a good beater to quote on it after the damage parts have been stripped off etc get them to quote with parts they can get new and used (or maybe some bits can be repaired )etc or just take the HUGE retail price on the car pay out and go buy another one

what david said needs to be around Et20 etc I have bbs 16" by 8" et 23 from a e38 7 series , (use them with the semi slicks) 225/50-16 the 16" are so close to the strut tube and some tyres with wide curb protectors will rub on the strut tube normally have e34 m5 17' by 8" ET20 with 235/45-17" once I had 17" by 8" with Et10 same 235/45 tyres and they rub in the rear arches under load but not at the front see pics below by the way do you need a brake upgrade 540i 302mm by 28mm front brakes have a set for sale also e31 rears 324mm by 12mm just upgraded again to e31 850ci front brakes 324mm by30mm

open the ews box and check for dry joints and resolder them

yea they don't go for much these days , the bigger more expensive models devalue so much you don't want to know what I paid for my black on black 98 750il 130k's sitting on 20" rims , no key and dead-locked , reg lapsed police impound ex drug dealer ,money launder dudes car turned out to be a really good car
