drove the purple m3 for the first time in a while. new rear brakes , front shocks, driveshaft coupling, all oils changed , plugs ,engine oil leak sorted, swapped to evo wheels, aircon regassed, , changed clutch master and slave cylinders , but still not quite right , might be needing a new clutch , or just the clutch fork pivot bolt etc. just needs more black and less purple and will be a nice car

yes they are uncommonhave one 96 318i 5spd that i am fixing up for my brother at the moment a 95 328i m-sport wagon my wife drives but migt be for sale in the near future and a 97 318ia that is in the process of being repiared for a customer. i did see a sleightly damaged (rf corner) blue 318i sell at turners about a month ago was in nelson (tow yard) was dereged . i wonder who got that one?? problem is there where so few sold in nz , no jap imports , and only a few uk imports etc there where pretty expensive remember a 328i touring probably retailed around $90-100k in nz a 318i touring probably about $60-70k when you think you could buy a 3.8l commodre wagon for less than that or a 2L mazda 626 etc for 40k ? etc. good luck with your search

we used a m20 gearbox on a my mates e34 520i touring a few years back work out okish just the gearbox leaning over , gearlever leaning over to the rhs a bit . we jacked up the rhs side of the engine a bit to make it less so , used a e36 manual crossmember with extra holes drilled and washers etc , not ideal setup but it worked and fixed a car that had a stuffed auto . better to use a e36 manual box (plenty out there ) and then modify a driveshaft to suit .

check there are not some hubcentic rings stuck on the hub or wheel , but otherwise rust etc

ok no prob problem with red as most have faded paint this engine and box in this run really well for the k's mush smoother and quieter than some of the lower km ones i have come across etc

hits the shroud , loose radiator mounting fittings , or like glenn said worn or broken engine and gearbox mounts . fit another fan then bang/snap again unless you sort the mounts etc...

no , did you get my email . they have the wiring and aux fan already in the front , if you just fit the lower temp sensor it will cut in just as the gauge goes over half

yes you will need a torx screw driver to remove the door cards , use the factory wiring the amp that is in the boot has all the crossovers built in etc if it has it overwise if its a non amp car then use you crossover. or remove the capacitor from the back of the factory tweeter

ok will let you knowthe 318i sedan and m-sport touring are basically ready to go just need the reg plates etc

bump!!! front lip has some damage but may be usable rear sun blind m-sports steering wheel with airbag black hood linning sunroof coupe type seats are nice half leather sports type. sweet sounding engine only done 140k's bilstein suspension all around super sprint rear muffler copy m3 mirrors ,electric good jatco trans also have 5spd manual kits

new project car arrived from chch today nz new 2002 saphire black 330i touring done approx 96k black leather sport seats. removalable towbar near near eagle tyres small scratch in the left front. should be a nice car . dont like the facelift bumpers though thinking about mtec front bumper from the 330ci i had maybe the bbs LM's from my wifes e36 328i touring and maybe the mtec coupe suspension etc from the 330ci

early 1998-99 e46 318i have a sleightly different 4spd gm trans , better at changing but seam to pack up more often. later 2000 318i have a 5spd gm trans better again. buy my 328i m-sport coupe convert it to manual (can do it for you if need be) they return pretty good ecnomy etc.. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=45181
