ha ha would make a great second car matei have one as a forth car , the misses loves drivin it. and used to have her own 535ia and still talks fondly of it... here are some pics and details anyway just incase you get tempted. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....t=0#entry448311
  9. have this very nice e28 up for sale . thought i would offer it here first before going to TM. nz new 2 owners before me. good service history. pretty clean rust free body. polaris silver metalic. piant in good nick for the age and millage with a few little dents etc nothing to worry about new wof and comes with reg. cloth electric seats (working 100%) with fold down arm rests. premium factory bmw audio system 10 speakers and amp etc full mint tool kit. factory 3.07 large case LSD factory bilstein shocks factory motorsport gaurd extensions , rear boot spoiler. factory 2 tone pinstripping aircon and heater work great 2 way sunroof (no rust) electric windows and mirrors motorsport steering wheel over head check panel ABS 4 wheels disc brakes powered by the legendary M30 engine 3.5L 218HP 160kw 310Nm 10:1 euro spec engine (pulls like train) under 8secs fo 0 to 100km/h , but that doesn't really tell the full story on how these things accelerate when over taking etc about 1750rpm at 100km/h on top gear averaged about 8L per 100km coming back from rotarua the other day 4 speed ZF trans with sports/manual and ecno modes.(works briliantly shifts better than most new bmw gearboxes) comes fitted now with 15" bbs alloys with near new kumho 225/60-15" like from e34 e32 models but also have the rafale RM 15" alloys like in the picture one needs a dent repaired and tyres replaced if you want to swap them around. the car has had a lot of money spent on it over the years to keep it mainted and with many new parts fitted just to keep it upto date etc. gone now

  11. most likly broken adjuster rods inside the lights. if you can grab the bulb holders at the back and move them up and down freely then they are stuffed, and the inner reflector lens is just floating up and down by itself.

    635CSI

rear wheel horse power , not the flywheel hp that bmw give in the owners manual.635csi 218hp 160kw 310nm at the flywheel works about about 110-120rwkw depending on dyno and air temp etc when all in good order or new etc. have seen some others with less and the odd one with more. millar maf unit and adaptor chip and housing about $380usd incl fr8 (you dont need the war chip thing) plus local nz remap talk to gavin etc as you might be surprised by the cost

    635CSI

go on tell the full story david planned and skimmed head and block to raise the compression, nice open headers and exhaust system etc but yes thats good results from the old m30 block

    635CSI

normally one of these 635csi engines will get about 110-120kw at the rear wheels (on gavins dyno), i would say about 130-140kw with the maf unit and a remap. but also a decent punch of usable toque through the midrange which is where you use it mostly. best thingto do is run it up on teh dyno as it is , just make sure you have good spark plugs and set right also vlave clearances are done correctly , good air filter and fuel filter etc good dizzy and rotor etc. do a run so you get a base line to start with then go from there with mods etc
  16. 9 times out of 10 its the fuel sender unit lift the right side fuel pump out and check and see if the wire is broken then resolder the broken wire on the fuel gauge part

    635CSI

very nice , looks great yes after years of playing around with m30's etc , doing cams , head swaps , etc etc http://www.millerperformancecars.com/catal...p;category_id=6 best bang for buck is one of these and a remap of the ecu to suit also lightening the flywheel to 7kg will help and a diff swap to a 3.73 ratio etc
  18. will look into it over the next few days , made take the whole rear section from a 5 series drivehsaft so you get the spline parts etcwill measure one up
  19. not the drivehsaft just the rear cv is the same across these models
  20. 18"by 8" et20 http://images.trademe.co.nz/photoserver/98...397498_full.jpg
  21. like http://exchange.goo-net.com/usedcars/BMW_A...0004/index.html
  22. 535is will do about 12L per 100km on average 10ish on a trip and 14-15 if you push it all the time 540i are better on a trip due to there tall gearing but can upwards to 16L per 100km if you push it both are not to bad to matain. 540i auto will fail at some stage 535i 5spd are pretty bullit prof . both are heavy cars but well made (probably best bmw made) also consider E28 535ia , lighter ,more ecnomy more power and torque than e34 535i and simply like here http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=39768
  23. do i sniff a alpina B7 turbo replica race car?? theres a early rustyish shell 1980?? at european car parts parts missing but still on 4 wheels but probably better to go to a 1984 onwards model
  24. good luck how about a nice 4 door version rust free , reg on hold excelent engine and 4spd auto
  25. have black door card with cloth insert. have drivers reg and motor etc. 021433600 [email protected]
