swap it out for a m52b28 , about the best and easiest mod to a e34 . just run the engine on all your electrics and manifolds etc .

thanks not at this stage , still want to keep as a nice road driving car , i dont have a wagon now , my missues has taken over the X5 , so having a hatchback can be handy , to to get me speed its getting some boost

went to another track day at puke yesterday was really foggy and slippery AZ in the morning , dried out ok later on. manaded to knock a second off my best time from last time out even after I had a rear tyre fail on me really need to get some better suspension setup in the car , inside tyre just lights up too easy car not squatting down enough. and got to go for ride in tim's mower

do they need it to be road legal ? built up or something ready driving and ready for them to put there mark on it and add what ever parts and mods etc

yes , but some SA cars are weird too , I have had a couple of SA 535i and e30 325i and the vin numbers don't add up its just the SA cars are done differently

i have getrag 280 box and manual kit from a e34 m5 , will also suit a 535i or 530i m30 engine type . plenty of 535i manuals about not really worth doing a 525i unless you swap in a bigger m52 m54 engine etc thats weird on the 540i vin number , i wonder if its a typo or sopmething , ask him to pull the ecu out and check the vin number on the sticker on the ecu
