I've read somewhere (another auction on trademe) that stated that these don't have the swirl flap issues? Here : Another 320d Wasn't sure how credible that was so I looked around and it seems to have a bit of weight to it, so hopefully I'm right! Also my engine is the 100kw 280nm version and the newer (facelift?) ones have the 110kw 330nm engine.

Ended up buying it from turners auction through the live bid thing! Ended up owning it for 6k It's done quite high k's (205k) but it seems tight and I've had it up on the hoist with a quick mech inspection, car is NZ New and 5 speed manual & sold locally at Cooke Howlison BMW. Pics :

Ahahahaha - they do try to be a bit different. I think they call cookies i-Biscuits® or i-ToffeePops®

Is that a VN Calais you're driving haha? I always thought my VR was a bit like a tank.

We've sold our Kia diesel and looking at a 320d Msport. Anyone here know what to look for on these? Seems to pull really well and seems tight also. Handles like a bloody go cart too I might add!

Quite common alright, a mate of his probably bidded that amount to create extra interest. Ofcourse it could be legit but I've seem some shenanigans on Tard Me over the years.
-
Seems a bit dodgey that the one and only bid was only one dollar less than the reserve...

A good watch but as with every other independent thing he does it's just never the same without May & Hammond.

If it were me I'd take the GT-R don't ask why, but after the reviews from Top Gear and Fifth gear it's what I'd rather have! I watched a uYouuuToobe video a few weeks back which had a new Porsche Turbo S, Veyron Supersport and a GTR. GTR was slowest at everything but compared to the Porsche it wasn't bad and compared to the Veyron it wasn't good at all, but for the price you just can't go past it.

You'd nearly be adding a 0 on the end of that price if it was a genuine Alpina!

Whadda ya doin ya EGG?!?

That yanyan joker is pretty hard to deal with. I was interested in a Cayenne Turbo before I bought my ML and from his emails his English was poor but given that I found him rather arrogant.

I made it to the end but I forgot everything after the final whistle, had to watch the ceremony on MySky. South Africa's cup is now New Zealand's Cup!

It was rats sh*t and if they had not decided to put Donald out there then it's quite possible that it could have been a different result!

Awesome win by a brilliant team. Would have been a much better win if Weepu's boot was working properly!

Got my 5'er today - best beer in the world to try is Hofbräu

Hehe, can't trip an RCD if it ain't there. I'm guessing if you re wired hat circuit to be an older fuse type that would be illegal?
-
Someone else suggested this. There's a hell of alot of older places up where I am and I'm fairly sure most of them haven't been re-wired and RCD's installed which is why no one else would be complaining of the problem.
-
When we leave the place EVERYTHING is turned off bar the fridge. So I'm fairly sure that it's nothing else, can't be the fridge because we've replaced it with a new one, so must either be that circuit or a faulty RCD ?

We have a holiday home in Canterbury and for the second FKN time now the power has gone off and everything in the fridge and freezer has gone off and leaked everywhere. We initially thought it was the fridge itself but after replacing it with another one it's now happened again for the 2nd time in 12 months. There is nothing worse than that smell - it was just starting to come right from the last time! Before we bought the place we were told it was all re-wired and fitted with and RCD board which we can confirm as it all looks quite new. The area can be susceptible to power surges and gets it's fair share of power cuts every now and then but I thought that it still shouldn't cut everything off. Is it possible to get a higher tolerance with the RCD's cutting off or is it possible there's an issue within the internal wiring system? I'm keen to get an electrician out but the problem is it's literally in the middle of nowhere and it costs a bloody fortune for anyone to call - if this has to be done it has to be done but was wondering if anyone here knew of an easier/cheaper option?? Thanks in advance.

Could be more hassle than it's worth and a hell of alot easier just to walk away in my opinion. The chasing process won't be helped if he won't return emails and won't answer his phone.

I'd love a go in one of those twin turbo 123d - I couldn only imagine what a 130d would be like given the should exist! It would have to be a farkin animal to say the least - the 330d is an amazing enough car.
-
Very cool. Thanks for that Glenn.

I'm pretty sure I know the car you've bought, man Pete from Otago Tyres? Very nice car - a keeper - don't f**k it!

When all else fails explosions win. I'm always a fan of bangs but enough power to blow a reef up would probably make that ship into several small boats lol.
