  1. Nice. I one of those people that don't use their heater until the car reaches it's normal temperature, does that mean I can use it from cold?
  2. There must be some kind of error with your location as it says Porirua where it should be Gore, Gore spelt with 15 R's ofcourse. Sorry LOL but they should be on DOC's hit list as they are an introduced pest much the same as the stoat & rats! What engine does it have? The 4.0's weren't too bad for a GoTina - in 1935 LOL! The GoTina has been replaced with the P10 Nissan Primera which I call a MK 6 Cortina LOL
  3. Still 10 years old though. I believe they are pretty reliable and over engineered but they can still break, just pay to have that warranty just incase.
  4. The clown that buys the VT Clubby needs to un-install life IMO. If things weren't so up and down with my work at the moment I'd be on a bird tomorrow and thundering that thing back to Dunedin. All I'd take is my wallet and radar detector!
  5. Merk pre-purchase inspection and warranty are ya set. Warranties for AMG merk's are bloody expensive though, starting at around the 2k mark from memory. EDIT: Just found my CLK 55 AMG's warranty booklet and I paid $2400 for a 3 year warranty for it.
  6. Yer, they've only had it a month. A pre-purchase Mercedes check is in order for sure. These things are big big bickie's to fix if there's issues.
  7. WBAFB720X0LX16152 Got that from the service booklet. It said it was serviced 17-2-10 with 88280km on the clock, it's done 98 now, so the intervals must be 15,000???
  8. 335d must be an epic car to drive, torque to weight ratio is pretty serious. Good luck with the 330d I doubt you'll be disappointed - especially when it comes to fuel consumption!
  9. Visit My Website I've seen several post 200,000km pre-facelift imported models for 20k plus. At 16slides providing theres nothing wrong with this car it has to be a bargain. Same setup as my old CLK55 and that was an epic unit. The E55 is an absolute hammer of a car, instant performance & alot of fun.
  10. This is a Glen question I think. But with the cold I can hear like an extra fan running when I first start in a morning. And can hear metal expanding, like creak creak creak creak. This morning I noticed steam coming from underneath the X5, so I looked underneath and there's like a third exhaust under there just under the front passengers door. There was diesel hot fumes coming out even though the car had only been running for 30 seconds. Took a picture of it but basically just wondering what the hell it is!
  11. So how come some diesels are now giving intervals of 20k - 25k? Has there been like a major advancement in filter technology in the past so many years?
  12. So they're only 10 clicks before a service is due. I used to think 5000km was sh*t with my Surf yet I thought the X5 was 15k km
  13. In other words it's good as a knob of goat sh*t.
  14. Ahahaha 0-60 in 1 second and doing 220mph down that straight ROFL!
  15. There's a fair amount of information on line but I'm not sure it's consistent with my E53. I'm just curious as to what the service intervals are on my E53 3.0d with the M57TUD30 engine (facelift) - NOT that I'm paying for it as I've scored 2 years free WOF and servicing and warranty from BMW when I bought it (BMW Approved) I can't quite remember exactly what k's it had on it, but aprox 84km when I bought it, and it was serviced after I bought it like a month later. Anyway, it has two green lights left (out of 5), then an orange, then red. I've gone through the manual and can't seem to find anything there either. Thanks for the help in advance.
  16. Hmmm, to be fair it's probably what't it's worth IMO, if not overpriced. Bit of work to done, high mileage, no WOF/REG e.t.c. Might be good for parts.
  17. Mine are due in a week or two. Thanks for this & I'll be seriously looking into it. How they come up with their figure is totally beyond me without any research or examinations on my company.
  18. Always liked these a lot just scared of their devaluation and reliability though. If it was me I'd definitely be going the 2.4 diesel model, 2nd fastest, 2nd most powerful and 2nd most economical. That and 400nm to play with.
  19. One of the best sounding engines of all time. Seriously needs the spare tyre mounted to the boot exterior lid.
  20. Word... I actually couldn't have put that better myself to be honest, maybe that's what my last post was trying to say. They should have an hour meter for sure.
  21. Bugger! I accidentally ordered all their softwares that were for sale. They took $9000 off my credit card accidentally but they said they will put back the overcharges that they made tomorrow. /endjoke.
  22. Yep, I rekon there will be some conflicting opinions regarding this but here's mine anyway. I prefer NZ New mainly because of the documented ownership, service history and stronger resale value at the tail end of the ownership. With my current vehicle I also believe they're more sort after being NZ New perhaps hence a better resale value. Yes you get more buttons than normal on Jap imports but I prefer to have less as it's less to go wrong. In saying that my X5 has enough toys to satisfy an IT technician. I guess when it comes to some cars though it wouldn't worry me. Anything post 10k worth I would go NZ New, for everything under this I guess it wouldn't worry me too much. I guess it really comes down to a personal preference. I had a 2001 BMW X5 import about two years ago and whilst it was a bloody nice unit, our local BMW dealer wouldn't trade it because it was an import & whilst that might be just them, I guess it re-iterates the fact that NZ New is perhaps easier to move in the 50k + price bracket anyway.
  23. This is going to hurt alot of you guys here LOL but I've never owned a lowered car in my life, never been interested in it, a personal preference. I also worked at Dunedin's biggest Warrant centre and the dangers I've seen like cut springs that aren't even captive i.e when on the jack the springs could be dislocated by hand, was mostly Honda Integra's with removed airboxes for the deep induction noise... Nuff said. I ROFL'd when I seen the post RE: no check WOF's... what a legend.
  24. National is picking up the tab for the fails of Labour, but I really don't like their aggressive approach to the increases. In the last month the ETS has come to power and so has the increases in vehicle registrations and in a few months time the GST will rise another 2.5% I think alot of business are going to hold off increasing their pricing until the GST rises come to town, I think it's going to add an horrific amount to commodities i.e Food, Fuel which is a large sector of a families expenditure. Costs of transportation and deliveries will rise because it is both a player of ETS and GST increases. Any increases of petrol/GST or whatever, I love it how Dunedin goes into a total lock down immediately post announcement of any increases. The streets here become dead and retail takes a huge smack on the ass. As a business owner I'm not looking foward to it at all.
  25. Yer, I just noticed the X5's registration ran out yesterday so I apparently pay the old levy?
