Nice job, black cars is sex on wheels, top job :thumb:

In that case - use CRC tyre cleaner in a can. It foams up, bubbles and dissolves away without any intervention. The tyre is clean as, looks like new, and can't flick anything onto your car, because it's dry. All good.

DTM does look good, can you not go down to auto exhaust & get them to cut your old tail pipe off & weld a twin pipe on!!, I've seen it done & I think it was like $60.00 fitted Not a bad idea - cheers. Will have to measure it up ( 2 x tip width )I'm not to keen to start hacking a section out of the MTech kit... Obviously, an upward slant piping like DTM would look nicest... mmmmm

Try EBAY - I'm thinking of getting a DTM from there for my iS. Loving the twin piping out the rear. They are cheap as, but freight will be a bit
-
Mate that looks good. One thing however, and it's totally personal, is move the rear muffler forward if you can, or get a shorter one. My opinion, it mucks with the lines of your fine rear spoiler Seeing a fat end of a muffler ( not piping ) hanging out looks kinda ricey. Do a photoshop with no muffler showing, you may like, you may not. It's YOUR CAR, so what ever does it for you is what matter at the end of the day

I've raced formula fords, and it was the most exciting thing i've done with my pants on.

Yeah not sure on the spelling, but it's also called "engine start"CRC 'Engine Start' is one of many

As above. Try crimping all the little vacuum hoses one by one, and see if that makes a noticable differance. By crimping I mean, if you can, fold the hose by hand to block off the hose, or use some pliers with insulation tape on them to prevent taking little chunks out of the rubber. Also try an old trick. Grab a can of brake clean or ether, and start squirting your inlet manifold where it meets the head. ( spot on direction is best to pin down a leak ) If there is a leak there, it will raise the idle as the spray is induced into the motor. Work you way from the head up through the intake system. Hope this helps.

Forget the seven's. Get yourself into Formula ford or some other open wheeler if you are serious about making a half decent go at it. Seven's is good fun, but you will NEED open wheeler experience before any prospecting 'team' will look at you seriously.

I enjoyed the movie alot. Loved how near the end the same dark side music, ships shape and interiors and troopers were all looking like what it did when I saw the first one when I was 8 or something like that. Vader is very cool, would of liked to see alot more of him and his growing in power. Lots of limbs chopped off... que this link: http://www.runleiarun.com/choppedoffhands/start.html

as a benchmark in price, bout 4 years ago I hand hand built headers and system built for my 2.5 skyline: Six tuned 2.5 inch pipes off the head, into two, into one into a 3 resonator muffler system consisting of a 2.5 inch piping throughout. Three inch piping where it bends over the diff etc. All stainless from the 3x2 collector. cost $950 + gst. So for a four pot, even with inflation and not a hand built system, I would say 600 buks for a top job and stainless would be top dollar. Hope that made sence

WTF Hopefully you meant the spring is cable tied, not the seat itself

Spend upto $120-00. Get one that goes 'CLICK' at torque, not pops out a metal spindle at torque. The are notorously incorrect. Also get one with a good hard plastic case. One meeting with a concrete floor can throw out the calibration.

Wether you are a MS fan or not - he is a freak in a car. He is/will be compared to for decades to come. A benchmark in skill, cunning and the 'winning' desire. His reflexes, timing and consistancy is, well, freakish. Myself, I admire the man. From go-karts up, with the right kit, he's been a dominant force. You don't get to where he is just by being 'arrogant', you need what he has ( as above ) As for the arrogance in the man - when you are the best, it's always going to be hard to not come across as such. Ferrari will start to win again. Their car is coming along nicely, and Bridgestone WILL sort out their problems. All of a sudden, I see Ferrari on podium more and more. I can't realisticly see MS winning this year's championship, but I very much doubt he will retire. I feel he will want to win that one more - that's his driving force - to be the best. Go MS and Ferrari. On the same note, go BMW, they are getting stronger and stronger. Lovin' seeing BMW on the podium.

I haven't fiddled with a BMW horn/wheel, but the other types I have, when you PRESS the horn, it, as you say, 'grounds out', completing the circut to the horn. So - I think you have earthed out the circut somewhere, completing the circut full time, hence full time horn Check your wiring and look at what happens when you press the horn, does just pressing the horn complete the circut?

Have your front wheels balanced. Vibration at steering wheel at higher speeds is classic signs of 'out-of-balance' front wheels.

if your painting it, use a resene product called "smooth surface sealer" that will seal the varnish or what ever is on the wood. Then paint away with your choiceof colour...SPRAY of course.....

I recoed a MG 1800cc motor years ago. When I took the block into the reconditioners, I asked him what can I do to beef it up. Long story short, he bored it out, and used cortina 2L pistons. They fitted right onto the existing rods. Power differance was quite noticable. So - what I'm saying is chat to some engineers. They will know some nice mods im sure - without breaking the bank. PS: and dont forget to share your findings

hehenot sure - i know the E36iS is quicker than the 2.0 to 100Kmh.....

Quick clarification on my merc comment: Was implying that they often won't look or smile at one who does from within a beamer. NOT implying they are not curtious drivers or bad drivers.
