  1. Yep - always loved these things. The sound of one of these at full noise is something special. I still remember them in the Rothmans Rally - back when it was socially acceptable to stand on the footpath a couple of metres away from the cars passing. Bit concerned about those big black tracks leading to the rear wheels in the first photo if I was a serious buyer.....
  2. Dog? Kite? Worm farm (iguanas bit hard to find in this country)? Porno?

    Virus

Heath speaketh the truth.... Some virus scanners use heuristics to look for unusual activity as well as scanning for a specific virus. If you add the directories that are used for writing data to the exclusion list, it can stop it grinding the machine to a halt.

    iPhone lol

    I want an iPhone.
  5. Oh that is sweet! I would happily have surgery in that engine bay.
  6. I don't think there is one answer to this (as I found out with our odysey in pain), and everyone has a slightly different take. However, of all the vehicles we drove recently, we thought the Mk5 Golf was easily the best (daylight second, then the 307). And the TDi (with DSG) was chirping tyres in 2nd and 3rd gears (which put a smile on my dial ). No idea what the GTi is like - only what I have heard, and based on the other models will be a fast, fun, practical well specced car (with safety features everywhere). Space wise they were much of a muchness compared to the 307, Focus etc - what I don't know is how much crap you have to cart around for the kids.... I know it can be quite a bit depending on age. Good luck, and remember that not all cars are created equal!
  7. Yep - nobody needs a wheel flying apart at motorway speeds....
  8. Yeah, thats what I mean. Although the aftermarket ones like I have in the 330 use the valve sensor.
  9. Think he is talking about $12/tyre for insurance - not the cost of the tyres...

    Original!

Haha - yeah! See who answers first.... I thought that was the difference between Viagara and Cialis? One is on the spot action, and the other you have to drop ages in advance on the off chance you will need it later on.
  11. Some are a valve sensor setup (like my aftermarket set), but I think there is also another system that is sometimes used for OEM (possibly run off the wheel speed sensors - not sure). Either way, a reputable tyre shop that is careful and knows what they are doing should see you right. Edit: looks like Johno beat me to it...

Doesn't Viagara take about 8 hours to work?
  13. Depends how much anchor chain comes with it...
  14. 2010 Camaro 1969 genuine Z28 DZ302 1967 rs And amongst the others, this beast. 468 cubic inches of muscle car - must be a real handful being a manual! Now just to win lotto.....
  15. Totally agree. Wonder if it floats? Or gets termites?
  16. But the Police don't know what has happened since the warrant was issued. If you read the fine print, the WoF is a point in time check - it is up to the driver to ensure that it is up to a legal standard at all times. And I think you'll find that the AA are not paid anything by the government... As someone else said, you are probably lucky they haven't confiscated it.
  17. What colour are your indicators? Legally they need to be substantially amber. Red indicators are only acceptable if they have SAE/DOT markings on them (NZ will accept ECE or SAE/DOT approved lighting). So, if your lamps are e marked (normally moulded into the lens), they should be amber. If they are SAE/DOT marked lamps (again, normally moulded into the lens) they are allowed to be red (from the manufacturer - not amber ones sprayed red). Unless you comply with those conditions, you don't really have a leg to stand on....
  18. What do you expect for $32....

    Class Bores Me

Oh how I know that feeling.... I prefer a gun though - less work, and less time for them to argue the point. More mess though - and you have to stash the bodies somewhere.
  20. Sure they weren't the 320 diesel that got to NZ in numbers?
  21. Eh? You talking about the clock in the dash/stereo? Never needed more that 2 fingers to reset that on mine. Course, if you are referring to something else, please ignore me.....
  22. My initial reaction would be did they even sell them in that spec here? If they did, they must be as scarce as rocking horse sh*t.... I fully understand why you would want one (oodles of grunt, all the creature comforts, easy on the gas pump), but have never seen one in NZ. Good luck in the search - and don't forget to post photos when you find one .
