This one is the kid sister isn't it? Still a nice car. That red turbo that was discussed before was a fairly special piece of machinery (with price tag to match if I remember correctly!).

You don't see this everyday coming up for sale

Yeah that's true - but doesn't that only apply for the first owner until it is a classic car? I thought the second owner of a non-classic LHD couldn't register it. -

How are they selling a registered LHD? I was under the impression that you had to convert it if it wasn't considered a classic car (i.e: 30 years old or whatever the rule is). -
Sure there are no fuel leaks? One mate doubled his fuel mileage when he found a leak halfway up the fuel tank (mean't he wasn't running out). His Mk2 Cortina 1600 was using a similar amount of juice to a small block Chevy powered Torana...

I say bloody good on BMW for sorting you out on a car that is a long way out of warranty. EuroCollision have a very good reputation - so you will be getting some top workmanship to boot. I think this should counter some of the other threads recently where BMW have been accused of bad service.

Why is it a 5 minute job is never a 5 minute job.
elmarco replied to JaseNZ's topic in General Discussion
Or when you give the part you are attempting to remove a little too much english (after missing the simple locking tab), and end up tearing something expensive off (like 5 times the price of whatever you are doing) and 10x more diifficult to get at. Not to mention the knuckles of 3 fingers on your left hand bleeding, the scratch in the duco and the immobile car that you need first thing in the morning for something important. It's karma paying you back for something. Have you not seen "My Name is Earl"? -

Genetic engineering. Building a better spin bowler (add the Steve Austin 'We have the power, we have the technology' line).... Seriously though, it is real and I think she came out of the surgery OK.

Awesome! The Muppets still kick rock!

Oh that sucks Out of interest, what were the symptoms? Was it just the squeaking or did you notice other stuff as well?

What the hell are you smoking Graham?? A 911 is a classic - where that coupe is.....not a 911 (being kind). Don't care how many hp it has - they all fugly and always have been. I love that shape 911. Actually saw one of these today. Der scheisse!

Sure there have been some "random" failures, but probably no worse than any other make (you don't even want to look at the issues with the Mini CVT/auto trans...). Any car that is abused will more likely be a candidate for failure as Josh says - so make sure you do get it checked. Drivewise, they are one of the best around. Smooth, quiet, and responsive.

That's how they roll in Finland....

If I remember correctly, it actually drove a generator and was an electric BBQ. It was part of the "What can you Hemi" competition a couple of years back. Now someone needs to do something similar with an M60.

We are with Vodafone and it seems to be pretty good. Having said this, you also need to think about TiVO etc. If Tivo appeals (or is likely to in the future) you should go with Telecom. I also see Vodafone are now in bed with Sky so that may be something else to keep in mind.

Or this one.

Whats with the jesus handles down by the gearstick?

Pretty sure Air NZ's Jumbo tractors don't get leather or air conditioning....

I reckon this was a brilliant idea, and very well executed. Bloody good on them! Almost wish I could play more than the CD player....

You can keep the Ferrari's etc - I'll settle for the 356.

How about EuroCollision in Glenn Innes or Evans European in Onehunga?

Now that's more like it! You could even break out the Magnum tache and hawaiian shirt without feeling like less of a man...

Yep - like water... In fact, isn't "vodka" is russian for water or something similar? You going to drive a tank? Think this was a new interview about an industrial accident caused by booze at work and the guy is saying that they don't have a problem with booze or something.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zLDerwaXZDg

Bastard! I'd love to go - but would be packing my tinfoil undies and staying firmly on the beaten path! I'm picking they are not as strict with exposure as some of the other nuclear installations around...
