  1. What's up with you Mark? Have you got something against car dealers?
  2. No Mark, I don't know where you are coming from, and frankly people like you really piss me off. I am a car dealer and have imported thousands of cars from Japan. Odometer tampering was the norm in the eartly 90's but since the mid ninetys NZ customs have come down hard on anyone flicking speedos. I don't know if you have ever been to Japan, but let me assure you that that country has the best public transport system in the world and on average, Japanese drivers do far less mileage than the New Zealand equilent. For example I currently have a year 2000 vehicle with a certified 32,000kms. So stop making assumptions and posting these assumptions.
  3. Why would you doubt that the k's aren't genuine?Just because it's an import doesn't mean that it's had a haircut. Before you make comments like this learn about how odometers are checked on imports. As for the reconditioned head, read the questions and answers for an explanation.
  4. I have to endorse what everyone else has said about the Barking Dog. It was a great evening. Surprised and pleased to see Bravo turn up, it's neat thqat some "out of towners" can make it to our meetings.
  5. I will make one comment here. The tryes that came off my car were Yokohamas and they were the noisiest tryes I have ever come across. Now that I have the Nexens on I am thoroughly enjoying driving my car again. And that is the most important thing to me.

They're Lesbians driftit, so why would you be interested or are you having a sex change?
  7. Only problem with that is this is an auction, and you don't get discounts at an auction.
  8. That gun totting kitty is from Germany, and she's shooting anything French.

    Just a thanks

I got this from the "BMW VIN Decoder" web site. Pjay posted the link to it, and westy, if you want to check it, my chassis number is EP82582. So why would this show as a ZF when I know it's a Jatco? It has to be a Jatco coz it's flaring these days.

    Just a thanks

I'm not so sure westy. My car has a A5S 310Z Jatco transmission.
  11. It's just as well these tyres are quiet Pjay, cos I won't have the sound system in the car till tomorrow or Wednesday. The head unit was the wrong one so Hayden has to replace it and the sub box wasn't complete yesterday. Hayden did most of the rewiring yesterday and the only problem I had with him was he only drank one bottle of Hienekin. You haven't trained him very well Peter.
  12. C0SM0S needed a new set of tyres, and after discussions with Glenn and other Nexen users, I decided to go ahead with new feet for my coupe. A quick call to Johno last Thursday and a quote I went ahead with the deal. Unfortunately I was told that Nexen were no longer available, but Roadstar tyres were. They are the same as Nexen but with another name. I called in at Mag & Tyre Direct on Friday and they fitted the front tyres and I had to wait till today the get the rear ones fitted. Surprise surprise Johno found a set of Nexens for me. My car has 255x35x18" and 225x40x18" so being a large tyre there were obviously a few left over. Guys, these tryes are sooooo good. After the Yokohama's that I had, the Nexens are so quiet I don't have to turn the stereo up to hide the road noise any more, and the road handling is superb. So to Johno and the guys at Mag & Tyre Direct, a big thank you. And to any other Bimmersporter who needs tyres or alloys, go and see Johno, you'll be pleased that you did.
  13. This BMW driver probably thought it would float. Edited by bravo due to racist comment
  14. How is progress on the E36 ones Wayne?
  15. ONLY AUSSIES Being Australian is about driving in a German car to an Irish pub for A Belgian beer, then on the way home, grabbing an Indian curry or A Turkish kebab, to sit on Swedish furniture and watch American shows on a Japanese TV. Oh and....... Only in Australia ... can a pizza get to your house faster than an ambulance. Only in Australia ... do supermarkets make sick people walk all the way to the back of the shop to get their prescriptions while healthy people can buy cigarettes at the front. Only in Australia ... do people order double cheeseburgers, large fries and a DIET coke. Only in Australia ... do banks leave both doors open and chain the pens to the counters. Only in Australia ... do we leave cars worth thousands of dollars in the driveway and lock our junk and cheap lawn mower in the garage. NOT TO MENTION.... 3 Aussies die each year testing if a 9v battery works on their tongue. 58 Aussies are injured each year by using sharp knives instead of screwdrivers. 31 Aussies have died since 1996 by watering their Christmas tree while the fairy lights were plugged in. 8 Aussies had serious burns in 2000 trying on a new jumper with a lit cigarette in their mouth. A massive 543 Aussies were admitted to Emergency in the last two years after opening bottles of beer with their teeth. and finally......... In 2000 eight Aussies cracked their skull whilst throwing up into the toilet.

    Smokers

Phew, what a pleasant relief. I thought I was coming into one of those "anti cigarette" threads.
  17. With a budget of only $1,000.00 I would suggest you get you computer remapped. If you live in Auckland then go and see Gavin at HiVelocity in Glenfield. You will find his phone number by searching the threads here.
  18. Thanks guys. You've all been a big help.
  19. Bump I really need as much information as I can possibly get. Thanks guys.
  20. That's why I am trying to get a better idea Graham. Turners only give an estimated auction value and as you and I know, that is no where near the true value of what is becoming a collectable and desirable vehicle.
  21. I think that the Bimmersport member that I am doing the valuation for would be a bit peeved if I valued his car as a box of beers and enough change for a packet of crisps. This car is in very good condition and is rather a rare model.
  22. I am doing a valuation on an E30 320i and need to know what these vehicles are currently selling for. To verify my valuation, I need to be able to quote some recent sales of this model beemer, so if you have recently brought or sold an E30 I would like to hear from you. What I require is the model of vehicle, year, mileage, condition, date of sale and the sale price. Thanks for your assistance. Brian
  23. I'm sorry that this joke upset you Jamez but you are in a 3:1 minority. We need to learn to laugh at ourselves and the things dear to us, even our BMW's.
