  1. I think English must be his second language. Or maybe his third or fourth.
  2. To my friends who enjoy a glass of wine, beer or spirits.............. and those who don't. As Ben Franklin said: In wine there is wisdom, in beer there is freedom, in water there is bacteria. In a number of carefully controlled trials, scientists have demonstrated that if we drink 1 litre of water each day, at the end of the year we would have absorbed more than 1 kilo of Escherichia coli, (E. coli) - bacteria found in faeces. In other words, we are consuming 1 kilo of poop. However, we do NOT run that risk when drinking wine & beer (or tequila, rum, whiskey or other liquor) because alcohol has to go through a purification process of boiling, filtering and/or fermenting. Remember: Water = Poop, Wine = Health. Therefore, it's better to drink wine and talk stupid, than to drink water and be full of sh*t. There is no need to thank me for this valuable information: I'm doing it as a public service.
  3. Some of these are truly stunning. http://www.luxury4play.com/automotive/3656...ad-50-pics.html Even the odd Beemer is there.
  4. Ferrari 400i Developed as a true grand tourer over 17 years with all-round independent suspension by double wishbones, concentric coil springs and dampers, the ride was firm but still luxurious, with just on 150mph available. The original Daytona 4.4 litre V-12 engine was enlarged for the 400 model to 4.8 litres when automatic transmission was newly offered as an option to five speeds. Using a three speed GM automatic similar to that used by Rolls-Royce, the car was transformed from the usual heavy manual clutch operation. Beautifully trimmed, refined, and high geared, this GT with newly introduced fuel injection became the 400i in 1979. The first fuel-injected Ferrari, emissions, fuel consumption and power all improved. Ferrari 400i Reviews joeyd - Driver Tuesday 10 February 2009 19:56 Expensive and a real nightmare to perform repairs on, parts ungodly expensive. Anyone who owns one, deserves it! Want thrills, get a Corvette!!!! Performance and Handling Maintenance and Getting Parts Reliability Overall Rating Buzz - Driver Tuesday 5 August 2008 12:37 A very underrated car in my view. Acceleration isn't blistering by modern standards but it's still a fast, effortless freeway car with good handling for its size. Ride is perhaps a little harsh for a touring car. Contrary to many popular views about old Ferraris, the 400 is beautifully made. Regular maintenance is essential however, parts are expensive and fuel consumption very heavy! Performance and Handling Maintenance and Getting Parts Reliability Overall Rating xmas - Driver Tuesday 12 May 2009 19:27 Its a fantastic old car I have one and I love it. It very underrated and should be worth more. Performance and Handling Maintenance and Getting Parts Reliability Overall Rating This may help a little. Found it on the web.
  5. Hi lowrev, What part of this fair nation do you live in and what is the name of the dealer? Reason I ask is because I am a dealer in Auckland and providing I know this dealer, I could save you a few hundred on the purchase of this car. PM me if I can be of any help. Cheers Brian.
  6. What I'm listening to in my car these days I've dragged out of 1970. A British band called Spooky Tooth and their version of the Beatles "I am the Walrus" Google it and have a listen, it's a great version.
  7. Happy Birthday me old mate, but you still have a way to go to catch up with me. Toheroas for dinner again tonight?
  8. I believe it won't. You would need to replace the trans computer as well.
  9. BIRTHDAY REMINDER This week we celebrate a special birthday. Monica Lewinsky turns 44. Can you believe it? It seems like only yesterday she was crawling around the White House on her hands and knees, putting everything in her mouth. They grow up so fast, don't they?

  12. TO ALL MY INTELLIGENT FRIENDS See if you can figure out what these words have in common. 1. Banana 2. Dresser 3. Grammar 4. Potato 5. Revive 6. Uneven 7. Assess Are you peeking or have you already given up? Give it another try.... Look at each word carefully. You'll kick yourself when you discover the answer. This is so cool..... No, it is not that they all have at least 2 double letters.... Answer: In all of the words listed, if you take the first letter, place it at the end of the word, and then spell the word backwards, it will be the same word. Did you figure it out?
  13. Don't forget The annual Auckland Anniversary day cruise, which next year will be on 1st. Feb. Could this event clash a bit with the cruise as they are only a week apart?
  14. Andrew, it will still need a full compliance, but being already registered in NZ previously, you will not need a "Letter of Compliance" from BMW. It is still going to cost the best part of $600.00 plus $300.00 for your first registration. I have always work on the theory of $1,000.00 to comply and register a car plus whatever faults are picked up during the compliance check.
  15. This is dammed funny. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5KYQj0-Is98
  16. Wait another month or so and it will reach 80 cents
  17. Graham, I will call you this evening once I can get hold of a mate of mine. He used to own "Carburetter Reconditioners" and still does a lot of work especially on race cars. Conviently he lives in Manurewa and does this part time from home. Cheers Brian
  18. This car has now been sold. It will now be cruising the streets of Palmerston North.
  19. This car didn't sell at auction and I am now offering it at $8,100. PM or phone me on the above number if you are keen.
  20. No, it hasn't got a tow bar. Why so cheap? I got this car from a surgeon who has left the country and got it at a very good price. I'm not too greedy so it's the cheapest one in the country. If it were my car, I would be spending $1,000/1,200 on paint rectification, the worst part is the boot lid where the clear coat is lifting. Rather than do it and add a grand to the price, I would rather leave the car honest and people can see that it has never been in an accident.
  21. This auction closes today (Saturday) at 11.47 AM, so if any Bimmersporter wants a V8 E39 for $8,500.00 then phone me on 021 393334.

    Cameron v. Tua

I saw on the news last night that the officials have said that if the fight is stopped within the first four rounds because of bleeding, it will be called a no result. This vetos my prediction, so I'm going for a Tua KO in the first few rounds, probably the third. By the way, the fight is on prime tonight.

    Cameron v. Tua

Tua will take Cameron in the second round. Tua will go for Cameron's forehead and open up the old wounds above his eyes. I know Cameron has had surgery for his bleeding, but if a surgeon has open up his old wounds, and restitched them, then the skin will be thin and easily opened again.
