They are the same bumper and the mesh/fins are interchangeable. Usually the M3's come with the mesh and the rest non M3's (323i 325i 328i etc) come with the fins. You can remove the fins and custom fit any type of mesh DIY and looks the part. The only difference between prefacelift and facelift is the nose panel which has different sized holes for the kidney grills which are either PFL - the grill sinks inside, and the FL - the grill lumps out a bit more (like your attached photo).

tbh i think you should go for some nice 17's if possible and sell those 18s which look like replicas?
-
Style 127 aka M3 CSL wheels. You will never find genuine ones, but there are some good and bad replicas around $1-3k
-
Looks like 343 is correct. Should fit without problem

http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/373 is it these ones? If not, find which style wheel it is you are planning to buy and also advise which style you currently have.

Pretty sure it's original. Came with the car and looks factory from memory

The $400 rule of thumb is not correct.. They can tax u on shipments as low as $200. Always take the tax into consideration.. there's a website whatsmyduty or something to calculate it.

A PPI tells you whats currently wrong or about to go wrong on a vehicle and gives you time to repair prior to things breaking or having an accident. A MW is just provides a subsidy on repair costs when (not if ) something does go wrong and leaves you without a car for how ever long it takes to assess and fix the problem. And after which you may end up with a car that has overheated and/or caused other significant damage. Your call.. do you want to save $200 on a PPI and potentially buy a problematic car that is going to cause you nightmares in the next months/years or do a PPI and know you are buying the right vehicle? (btw a new battery is not cheap as it needs to be fitted by a BMW specialist and coded to the car - $500-700 for a bosch or $1000? for a BMW)

Haha if it was me I would consider it but it my fathers daily and he wants something newer. Car has just had a wheel alignment done so its all good now
-
the best thing to do is to buy one that is sorted already (you can safely assume that NONE of the ones on trademe are well looked after) If you can do the work yourself then put aside $1000 for parts otherwise $2000 to pay someone to fix it. Cooling system is a big thing on any secondhand BMW so that alone is $1000 in parts give or take. The other things are not as urgent so you can do it slowly bit by bit over time
-
Cost of facelift 320i: $4000 Cooling system failure: $2000 Suspension parts starting to wear out: $1000 Enjoyment of owning a BMW: Priceless For everything else, there's Mastercard.

http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/bmw/auction-1387949371.htm way overpriced but if you can get it down to say 7k or so it would be decent
