Congrats colin

Happy to accept any reasonable offers Andy. Not expecting that price hence the "ono" but really just put the price for the sake of forum rules. Happy to let it go for any reasonable price to a member but anyone interested is welcome to send me a pm!

Any of the (BMW_ _ _) plates are relatively hard to come by these days and especially more so if they correspond to an actual model like 335/545 etc. I would like to have a BMW130 but looks like its registered to a 123d.. pity As far as I know you cant get the BMW logo plates any more.

https://www.germanplates.com/ Run them at your own risk. Cops that know (and trust me, they know) will confiscate your plates and fine you $200 if they see you driving around with these plates. The problem with these plates is that it doesnt use the same font style as the NZ ones and also it doesnt have the reflective stamping you can see on NZ plates in certain angles. Not really worth the risk but in saying that, a few people still do it and manage to get away with it, some longer than others.

you should be fine. ET20 on a 8x17 is standard for E39 fitment and if it had the stamps like brents photo then it will be legit.
-
No idea. Cant test i dont have an e36. Should work though

I have something else in my mind now will happen sometime in the next couple of weeks
-
before you do that, are you sure the centre bore is 74.1 (since it looks like you want them for your E39?) You should be able to check from the widths + offset by checking on the chart http://www.bmwstylewheels.com/bmw/32

^ so you are getting it mr thrash driver?

bump. $7500

bump. make an offer, will sell cheap
-
like i said, nice car but the repairs bill will quickly add up
-
Pretty much like our touring, same year and engine, except ours is black with black leather and sunroof. and everything basically mint. wonder what it would be worth if we decided to sell it.. I think this blue one is worth $4-5000 at least, plus add another 1k for bumper at least, another $500 or so for the seats then maintenance etc... quickly gets pretty expensive..

if you are looking for second hand metric tyres, then you are either going to be searching for a long time, or have to fork out a lot of money for a new tyre/pair of tyres. http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/car-parts-accessories/wheels-tyres/alloy-wheels/auction-1285681130.htm how about something like this? standard 15" basketweaves for about $200, has useable tyres to keep you going, and when the time comes to change them, they will be cheap as chips to replace since 15" tyres are plentiful.

Thanks olaf haha. It was first time doing the light painting and it was hard to get even coverage etc but had a heap of fun doing it. Really interesting stuff. That sti is a pretty wicked car, putting out about 330hp. Work wheels suit the car quite nicely I think but I would like to paint them bronze hmmmm

Went out for a photoshoot with a couple friends, here are some good ones

Get it towed to a proper bmw mechanic and get it professionally diagnosed. No point speculating heas gasket or anything at this stage.

If it has those stamps in between the bolt holes then id say they are most likely legit.
