Ok. Imagine if your car was a ferrari. Or a lamborghini. Something thats bright and screams "im expensive". Would you put ur keys and bag wallet phone on the bonnet if it? No. Would that lady have done it? No. Why not? Because that person realizes that this car is a certain persons (expensive) posession. We respect other peoples property. You hardly see graffiti on a rich persons house but its much more evident around the poorer neighbourhoods. Just because a e38 7 series isnt a hundred thousand dollars (it once would have been!) doesnt mean it can just be considered public property..

I am leaning towards NA despite my prev comment. Is there an option to turbo a m60/64 V8 enginr later on? Also arent v8s generally more heavy than the standard e30 engines? Ie. Front heavy? Despite HP numbers wont it be heaps quicker on such a light chassis as the e30? As compared to an E34 for eg. Hmmm.. would be nice to stay BMW but otherwise an rb20 or similar turbo build would certainly yield the results and be fun!

It must be the flex cable. Common issue on any slider or flip phones. Probably can get the part from ebay for $1 or $5 lol. Maybe take it with the part to any fix places and it might cost an hours labour prob $50? Fone fix in greenlane Tape or something in ponsonby central

But surely any other engine rebuilders must offer some kind of waranty thats more than just 3 months. Anyways whilst i say all this i do think that going down team mcmillan bmw is the "right" option. Reasons being the peace of mind, for you and the prospective next buyer.

I would expect nothinf to go wrong in 2 years with a brand new rebuilt engine.. " 2 years UNLIMITED waranty" sounds good but its almost unnecesary.. (unless ur doing like 50ks per year or something..)

Imo turbo.. theres a reason why its common/popular.

I was away from the forum for a few months. What happened to your car? Sigh...

You wouldnt believe the number of ppl around the 1 way streets in towm trying to parallel park and end up hitting the car on the otherside, infront or behind, then driving off. Last time i saw a courier van with those bullhorns or whatever on a hiace rip the side of a bmw by turning out too far when reversing. Left the persons plate and details on a note for the bmw owner. Sigh. I wish people werent so careless and disrespectful for other peoples property.

But its an intersection? The speedlimit sign clearly states 50. You can easily slow down for the red light why cant you turn right into carlaw its stupid as hell. U cant u turn at the next lights, so u need to either go up the hill do a dangerous u turn, or go straight down strand and do a dangerous u turn, or go left at the next lights then do a u turn.. logic? None.
