Like i said, good on the seller for taking a punt on a dollar res auction and good on him if he makes a buck. I think its kind of funny how if you buy a house for 750k and flip it for a mil youre a legend and no one bats an eyelid but if you buy a car and try to sell it for a bit more because you found a deal everyone loses their minds.

I honestly have no idea why it needs a kill switch (as I like to call it). its not like mine is in a place reachable from while I am seated in the drivers position..

The thing with the F10 M5 is, I think its a bit too tame. Its not special with a crazy V10 despite the E60 M5's having its own issues/problems, its also kind of rewarding for the price paid, you get a lot. Whereas the F10 M5 is going to keep depreciating and will probably eventually be down to 30k soon. I think its a much more refined car than the E60 by a long mile but then its almost boring unless you start modifying it. As Martin said, keep it stock, drive it and how it is and sell it before the price bottoms out. Or just keep it for ages because its probably a relatively reliable car. Dont think there is a lot to go wrong in the F10 5 series..

FKYEHH!!! oh man i miss the M30 sound.. the big six is so good

my automatic reply to these kinds of offers is "YES!! and $1750 (whatever the balance may be) by bank deposit?"

very simple, combine the two you have into one, sell the remaining bits to help pay for whatever it needs. Have a cheap or reliable daily to keep you going in place of the 525e if it was your daily. after it is all done, either upgrade the cheap daily to an M3/5 or something else newer/modern.

I have the updated stock stereo in our E91 that has the USB and bluetooth connectivity feature. It was pulled from a 2011 or 2012 E9x and fitted to our 2005 E91 and worked perfectly to play music from USB and take phonecalls on bluetooth. Our car does not have iDrive. We dont need it anymore as the car has been crashed but that unit is undamaged. Let me know if you are interested

good on the seller then, bought it for a steal and will probably end up selling it for a small profit unless hes spent money on it in the year.

Seriously.. just goes to show how behind NZ is by still sending out post for infringement letters and all this "important" stuff. Surely they have a contact number and email. It was awesome when I went to china every car had a little tag and it would do everything automatically for tolls on highways, also for entering carparks none of this ticket BS. your number plate gets scanned when you enter the carpark and as you walk to your car you pull our your phone and scan the million QR codes on the pillars in the carpark which pays for your parking then you drive out. None of this validate your ticket BS and people in booths collecting coins.

the money (likely) lost on the poor trade in value probably offsets any kind of fuel savings you might potentially get but the 320d is a nice car pics?

I found a little toggle switch in the glovebox wall that I didnt know existed. must have accidentally flicked it. All good now.

The aftermarket camera installed on my F20 has stopped working. It was never anything spectacular in terms of image quality and the dynamic bars were just fixed on the screen (cheap aftermarket) but it did help for when I needed to get into small spaces. Anyone know how to diagnose this issue? Also, how difficult would it be to install a genuine or "Better" quality one and hook it up to the CIC iDrive system? I see a bunch of cheap cameras and AV cables for ten twenty bucks but also shops like eurosurgeon and autogravity etc sell packages for $800 etc.

I am in the process of moving my insurance from ASB to Classic Cars. $1400 --> $700 for full cover, cheaper excess, agreed value rather than market value.

correct size IMO would be 225 40 18 or 235 40 18 front, 255 35 18 or 265 35 18 rear with standard guards and "normal" wheel offset. If you are running the 17" wheels by any chance (very unlikely) then it would be 225 45 17 and 255 40 17.

the b25 is probably powerful enough for such a small car and especially in manual.
