Also, does anybody know where I can get a 2-bolt flange fitting towball, like the one currently on it? As I'd like to make sure I have both a 1 7/8"s (which I assume it currently is) and a 50mm. Probably going to have to go see a towbar installer or something I'd imagine.

I won't mention how cheap I got it then, don't want no jealousy It seems 15l/100kms is about the best it'll do. $50 from Henderson to Hamilton
-
I was thinking more high.. But then the GF won't be able to get in!
-
Pics as requested. Need to give it a clean, then I might try taking some better ones.
-
Saw one too last night in Hamilton. Just a glimpse but it was unmistakeable.

They will definitely come when it stops raining. And perhaps after I've cleaned it. I've been too busy driving it and listening to the burble... (It has no stereo. It doesn't need one either.)

Cheers for that Jon, will give you a call if I get stuck. Just put an offer in on a 1987 Range Rover Vogue Auto, so we will see. Has been a city dweller most it's life. Only 180,000kms. Seems well serviced. Really good tyres, and good shocks. Hopefully it'll be a diamond in the rough, but we will see, worst case I'll flick it off. Edit: Offer Accepted. I just bought a Rangie

I should probably mention I'm not too worried about economy, I won't be using it as a daily driver, and in fact my daily uses 3L/100kms so it will more than make up for it. I'm looking at both Autos and Manuals, although I understand the Manuals are more reliable, it seems the Auto gearboxes are more common, and Manual conversions are relatively cheap. Not interested in a $10k Hilux, they are massively overpriced and there is no way I can afford any Toyota that can actually tow. I can however buy and fix a cheap Rangie. Reliability doesn't really worry me, as I am pretty decent at fixing things myself (eventually) and have AA Plus to cover breakdowns

Just wondering if anyone has any stories to tell in regards to Range Rover Classics, particularly the mid-80s Vogue models? I'm looking at a couple of them with the aim of a ) towing things, and b ) doing a bit of off-roading possibly in the future (it looks like good fun). I've heard a bit about the usual downfalls, being rust, electrical problems and oil leaks, but as thats no different to any other car I've owned it hardly puts me off. Also it'd be a second car, not a daily driver, so if it was off the road while I fixed it for a few weeks it's no drama. Anybody got any input? (Also not looking for comments along the lines of "they are sh*t, buy japanese")

25/26. Missed the Ssanyong. Obviously don't watch enough of their shitty TV commercials.

You forgot to mention BRAND NEW. It's what I'd do no sweat. (Although I'm more a GSXR fan).

You might wanna read that thread a bit more. Those ones were replicas. Very good replicas, but replicas none the less.

Lotus 7 replica? Would certainly satisfy the performance with the right motor in it, and hasn't got a roof to start with!
-
Yup, and it's hard to tell from a photo. Would be easier to see up close. I thought my car had a twin for a second there haha. Welcome to the forums btw.

Looks nice, is it bronzitbeige?

You'll probably do best staying towards the northern edge then. Cock and Bull is a reasonably homely sorta bar, with decent food out at Te Rapa too. Just a warning:

Not entirely true. It varies greatly from street to street, I live in a very nice part of "Bader" and I'm quite happy with my neighbourhood. Bit low-rent for your budget however. It's generally an easy judgement call, if it seems cheap its probably a bad neighbourhood. Pay what you expect and it'll likely be a nice enough place. I'd avoid hillcrest though, due to the large number of students with lax security theft is pretty high!

"A rose by any other name would smell as sweet". To quote Shakespeare. As far as I go, a name is just a name, as long as it's got all the right bits who cares what it's called!

Just make one. Plenty of walk-throughs on the net. I made mine.

Finally fixed the boot. Turns out the circlip holding the spring in the lock barrel had popped out. Now works a treat. Also washed both car and bike, nice and shiny now.

Upload pictures no larger than 800 x 600 and it should work no problem..

Have to have proof when you apply to change Registration details, but a letter from a vehicle dealer usually suffices. Wouldn't have been too hard to get I'm sure, and nobody was ever gonna check up on it's legitimacy.

My E30 built half-wayish to E30 specs was a good fun track hack for the 2 times I had it out. Pretty cheap too, although I can see how it'd be easy to get bored with an M20 if you weren't restricted to the race series specs.
