Probably because you don't need a cert for bucket seats, as long as the mounting points are not modified and they are a reputable brand...

Not quite. Depends on which M20, as I know PFL m20b20s had high compression ratios, and while i haven't tried it, I'm lead to believe you could easily get a bit of pinging running on 95. Although on the topic of his b25, I have no idea what CR they run. Also, higher octanes allow you to run more aggressive ignition timing, which CAN improve fuel economy. (Provided it is tuned correctly).

1985 BMW 320i (PFL E30) So the drivers door lock has been busted for a while, instead I've been locking and unlocking from the boot. Until Saturday when my sister managed to get the boot lock jammed in. Problem is I can get the lock out and working, but the boot-pop no longer works! So I am unable to open the boot. My question is, how can I pop the boot from the inside? I have knocked out the ski hole, so can get in there and I have reasonably long arms/tools so might be able to make it work but I have no idea how. Any help would be muchly appreciated! Cheers in advance

Not my car sorry. Just spotted it on TM. Best get in quick. Edit: Classified is now "expired" so I assume somebody already has.

Decided I don't actually really want Tech1 on my car, so I figured i'd point out this bargain to everyone else. You can thank me later (or curse me if you already spotted it and were keeping it to yourself). http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-496070055.htm

It's 3mm vacuum hose, run a split all the way down with a craft knife. Easy and cheap, and probably a good mm or 2 thicker than most rubber strips.

Took it for a quick drive, the fairing works great. Doubles as a wind deflector for the sunroof too, although the suction it creates at 100kph makes it impossible to wind the sunroof open. Opens fine at lower speeds though. Now just need a bimmersport sticker to finish it off
-
Just built one myself, very easy to DIY and then you can make whatever shape you want. Just gotta take your time cutting the perspex to shape!
-
Started making a roof rack fairing, to lessen the wind noise when I have them on. Ok I'm lying, it's for looks. (Roof rack was bought for the bike, but I haven't got a bike rack for it yet haha.)

Not fully seriously looking yet, I'd rather finish my CPL first. But probably gonna be looking around $3k, in September or later. Bogan-spec falcon actually sounds like the most reliable, heavy duty option, but the GF is pretty insistent it has to be 4WD for getting in and out of muddy paddocks.
-
Possibly a circlip involved, my memory is fuzzy. I just remember it's simple as, I did it to mine not long ago.
-
It's busted, mine did the same, you will need a new latch. Changing the barrel over is ridiculously straight forward, I think it's 2 screws. Can't believe you've never done it TBH, it's easy as.
-
The GF wants the tow-pig to be 4wd so it can handle paddocks, but in my price range there is no such thing as a reliable 4wd. Been very tempted to get a v8 land rover or range rover, just because then at least it'd sound good!
-
Maybe I should just get a ford then... haha

http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.aspx?id=495494291 De-registered, and could do with a paintjob but looks alright. I wonder if it would be worth re-registering it, as a tow-car for the GFs horses haha Edit: Correct link..

I don't know about the later models, but my GF bought a 1st generation and it was written off 2 weeks later when the heater core dumped it's water on the ECU. Needed $900 parts and 10 hours labour on a $2000 car . I wouldn't buy one again!
-
If parts are in good nick, and it has some rare bits, then easy. If not... then scrap value is probably near $300 anyway

E30? or E21? on C4. In the music video for RIP by Rita Ora or something....

He doesn't come on here too often, if any of the above want one they should text him, or they will miss out...
-
The wire you plugged into one terminal on the horn button... goes on the other one.

Someone else should pipe up soon, but I'm pretty sure the answer is no. Unless it is a complete HID headlight, with the correct markings etc on it I believe you cannot put HIDs on your car. Although most would be glad you'd done the reflector too, since thats what makes them so blinding!

You will do well here with your awesome attitude
