Check for possible accidental groundings on the front speakers and/or cables.

But car B is at a giveway. At a giveway you must give way to anyone, unless they are also at a giveway or stop sign. If you look at Car B the same way you looked at Car A, then they will have to give way due to the road rules applying to the Give Way sign, regardless of what car A does... Give Way sign At an intersection controlled by a Give Way sign: slow down and be ready to stop give way to all other vehicles, except those facing a Stop sign if you and another vehicle are both facing a Give Way sign, use the give way rules (see The give way rules) you must not go until it is safe.
-
If there is no "no uturns" sign then I would think A has right of way, however A should be turning into the closest lane (if at all possible). At a give way sign you give way to EVERYONE unless they also have a give way sign or a stop sign.

I'd agree completely, there is no competition in the Public Sector. There is plenty of choice in the Private sector to drive costs down. Public should be cheaper, don't like it? Then you're not a real politician are you? I thought people became politicians because they cared about what happened to their country, not because they wanted all expenses paid holidays 2-3 times a year, and more perks than their salary is worth. Oh and in the private sector, i'd expect a company car yeah... a falcodore, not a 7-series BMW!

Not true. Check here: http://www.lvvta.org.nz/documents/suplemen...t_Threshold.pdf Engine replacements must have the same displacement as the OE engine. So a 320i requires a 2L engine.
-
That is probably the cheaper/easier way to go about it. 325i 4-doors can be had for as low as $2500, maybe even less if you're lucky. The bonus of trading up is that a 325i will come with disc brakes all round and 51mm struts (most/all PFL 320i's had drum rears and 45mm front struts). Although engine swaps themselves are reasonably straight forward, technically it would then require a cert and that makes any future modifications costly/difficult. A lot of people probably wouldn't bother certing it as most people would never notice the difference, but I wouldn't recommend this.

Not really. They will just start doing it in cheaper cars...

Now it seems the crushed car is being sold on Trademe, all profits to youthline. Pretty rude that they crush his car, and then profit off it, even if he is a real numpty. (Good choice of charity though)

Are you after the standard facelift similar to the red one but in a different colour? The tourings didn't come in tech one, the white one is tech 2 (facelift) and the red one is just standard (facelift).

7.7c per litre better? Cos that to me seems pretty pricy!

Upload photos as 800x600 or smaller and it'll work

Wanting an E30 Dash Mat, anybody got one they are willing to part with? Or know where to get one?
-
Other costs to consider for diesels... Rego. It's pricy to say the least.

Have one from a 1987 320i, worked well when it was installed, in Hamilton, if that's any use?
-
If he is ordering high compression pistons tailored to the measured bore size, then won't that already give him the perfect fit? I.E why go first oversize if his block is in good nick, and the bore size is still correct for whatever pistons he is using?

I would definitely take it somewhere else, to someone who is going to at least have a look at it! As for the rest, sorry got no answers, havent touched my drums yet.

Absolutely stunning. Very jealous. -
Yeah just gotta be very careful how you do it, I ripped one but have since replaced that tie-rod anyway so no issues.

Use a balljoint splitter on them, and then hold the jack against the bottom of them to put pressure on so they wont torn as you undo the nut. Easy as.
-
I've heard they sting you if it's valued over $400? Not sure if thats true though.

Dont worry, CTC does it funny too. I gained my PPL with about 75hrs, currently doing the IR. You'll have to give me a buzz when you come up here to do Sim training in our DA42 sims.. Also, on another vein.. now a proud owner of an Engine Hoist, and I've also got a few funnies like the gearbox torx socket for 320i E30, and a full set of axle stands and hydraulic jack, all in Hamilton, and certainly willing to help out fellow BS'ers.

Yup, struts are interchangeable, as are springs, it's just shocks that are specific to the strut size. As long as the shock is long enough to suit your springs though, since they are shortened..

Welcome Resize pics to 800x600 and they will be fine.

There is one in Hamilton: http://www.trademe.co.nz/motors/used-cars/...n-477878678.htm
