Alright, youve done it now. My paint skills are called into action. Black is the shifter Blue is gear knob red is the boot. where it dips down over the shifter is where it is rolled in on its self. If i unroll this at all, there will be a section with no tricolour stitching. Trimming the bit inside the rolled section that is against where the shifter increases in size should allow me to move the boot down the shifter further.

mine is about 95-100 normal temp, 90 on the motorway and 105 when driving hard. A few things can alter the temps, including oil viscosity, ambient temps, and any blockages to oil cooler etc. My temps are more stable now since i cleaned the mud (!) out of my oil cooler.

i think the section thats unstitched on mine is a little longer, but it'd still bug me. damn OCD. maybe next weekend ill take a knife to it and make it look better.

Are drilled and/or slotted rotors worse for dust than standard rotors?
-
Whatever the pads on my M3 are at the moment are shockers for dust. Doesnt help i live up a hill which means every time i drive i spend a good 1-1.5KM on the brakes. Wheels are black within a couple of trips.

Nope, see, yours has a patch without tricolour stitching showing too. Fold that under like i have and youll have the same issue
-
I see someone had the same issue as i do here, just doesnt looks as good.
-
the stitching only goes so far up the top of it, so if i roll it down there will be a bit at the top that doesnt have the tricolor stitching. I also cant slide it further down the shifter because the shifter increases in size drastically, like this Only option is to trim the boot so it can fit futher down the shifter.

Too much O_O nice to use though

So, i stuck my knob in the car. Feels nice, noticeably lower. Havent been for a drive yet. Its a shame though that the gearboot covers the metal trim, but the only way i can fix that is to cut some of the top of the gear boot down which im reluctant to do.

haha, i find this too. No one gets out of the way for the Honda Fit flying up behind them, but when they have a BMW flying up behind them they get out of the way pretty quickly.

because that matters in this situation? O_o

the current registered owner will get sent a payment demand for that outstanding rego (of one year, the time from it expiring to it deregistering), so make sure you know which address the car is registered to or you may make even more trouble if they send it to baycorp. Keep the plates, let the plates people know they are no longer on that car. If you are selling the car, and the new owner intends to re-register it, if you can try to give them an old certificate of ownership or something as that will help them to prove previous ownership of the car (and that it isnt stolen etc). If you dont give them anything they may come back to you so you can prove you sold it to them.

tunnels make good exhaust noises, all i can hear next to low walls is intake noise (which also sounds great).

Clown shoes are awesome. Huge plus points for being far more uncommon then most other M cars. Would own in a heartbeat, but not that them dollars!
-
I prefer the sound of the terrace runnel to the mt vic TBH. Have done many the tunnel pull in the M3, so good.

Only if you can prove it was their work that is causing the fault now. (e: in regards to claiming CGA on the outfit that repaired it)

Does Invergiggle have an Authorized Apple Service Center? Get him to take the phone there if they do. Telecom are NOT authorized repair agents for Apple products (they can send the phone to one, but they are not one themselves).
-
Last time i went to the DT we had another party on a conference phone, so that might be one way of them doing it (either holding it down there with him, or up with you and one of you calling in). Sounds like the guy is being very unreasonable though.

the lesson here is not to lend your car to 'friends'.... way too many stories of 'friends' borrowing cars only to ruin them.

Sketchy running with a fan missing a blade.... well balanced, im sure.

Some people like V8s, some people like tractors. Each to their own, no point trying to flog the diesel horse over and over. Not a huge fan of the X5s personally, too big for me, but the sport kit ones do look pretty good.

USB to serial does not work (or i would have used one of my many, much better, laptops with USB and my existing USB to serial cables), it must be a native serial port to work with ADS. USB to serial does work with the 96 onwards E36, and the E46/E39 (no idea about E34 etc). Ill have a look some time this week and see how big the virtual machine files are and get back to you.

Wondered where this went, been on TM for ages for about 17-18k.

argh, please say you have plans to remove the chrome strips from the door edges. Looks good in the sun, pretty tidy inside too.
