i think this is the same car i was looking at about 2 yrs ago...
-
these things can cost mega bucks normal run of the mill parts are several times the cost of non M parts.I am still bloody tempted though
-
take the vin into a bmw dealer and ask nicely if they will give you a build sheet.Quite often that will say which market the car was built for...along with all the std and special options included
-
quite a few on the site but none that really do it justice.I have had it for 71/2 yrs now
-
whhhhhaaattt you still got the 535 Boris???
-
e34.net is the place and http://www.bimmernut.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=10.You just gotta wait, the nice ones do pop up everynow and then.I waited a year before i found mine
-
they go well but are softish...not as much "character" as an e 34.I was really excited to drive an e39 540 six speed but was strangely unmoved.

i got a widescreen laptop,in black
-
just googled it very impressive

seven would be more comfortable than the 535is.The is can be a little harsh in the suspension esp if the road is uneven side to side. But the payoff of the IS is when you want to go a little faster round the bendy bits with little penalty on the way there. The e34 aint exactly a lightweight. My 535is is 1700 kg with me in it(might even be 1800 kg)

sorry i really meant the d60,thanks

does this camera have complete manual control of shutter speed, aperture ,or iso if desired?
-
a freind had one(or was it a 900?) seemed really good, the exhaust ran within an inch of the battery which not surprisingly used water at an alarming rate.I know the 900 has their quirks, ignition key down on console, car had to be in reverse to remove key????
-
i am tempted to buy it just for the wheels....
-
its best to replace the arm otherwise you will have to redo them when the ball joints go.Get new arms with the 750 or M5 bushes
-
gawd their street view is awesome
-
thats the only Coupe I have seen without sports seats
-
At least two are(have been) in Wellington,I have the vins somewhere, neither were in particularly nice order,(i reckon my 535 was nicer than both of them) BK35012 BK35074 I think I saw the 540 Touring today has a PP

if maintained BMW engines are reliable as.E34 have well known problems.heater valves, front suspension shimmy, door stays, door cards delaminate, head liner seperate, wiring to boot.Prolly more too but thats all for now.Dont be put off by the lists you find.Make sure all electrics work, and get it checked by someone who knows their old skool BMWs.Dont forget you are looking at 20 odd year old cars that had their designs started 25 odd years ago.
-
basically yes..supposedly to get a newer more efficient car and to help stimulate the US auto industry
-
go and look at it,drive it and others try every function/switch you know about. The internet is full of horror stories .if you beleive everything you read on the internet about BMW none of us would actually have cars that are perfectly satisfactory.Dont listen to the naysayers, but definetly be careful.

happy birthday to the man who got me into my e34!

prolly because most 5 series owner are generally pretty conservative. And a 20 year old car(prolly 25 year old design is goinfg to be severely outdated .At the time they were a serious peice of kit.
