    just remember to use the a/c regularly and it will remain in a useable condition.It is nice to have on a hot day,or to keep the windows clear on a damp day when you multiple people in the car...Read the manual I think there is a post by Jochen somewhere about the settings that are related to "programmeable" functions

    make sure wheels are hubcentric or you get the proper rings. e34 are 71,5 mm hub alot of aftermarket wheels for 5 series are 74(or so) which suit the e 39.If you dont get the rings or correct dia wheel centre you WILL get teh shimmy.E34 very fussy for front wheel balance,suspension bushes.

    sheesh if people replace the self levelling/"active" system in other cars cos iits to expensive to replace,i wonder how much it costs to buy the parts fir the 4 wheel steer system!

    the 530d manul hasnt been there that long,and besides being a deisel its the ONLY 530 i have seen in manual38 is too high IMHO but its up to him......

    i have seen a cross reference at real oem but i think it is an option only when you search by part number rather than car serial no or model
