economy is relative.I am ussually quite economical driver,but my average consumption in the 535 was prolly 21 mpg(13 l 100 k) .On the open road it was almost impossible to get less than 10 l 100k.My bloody automatic pajero is more economical than that.The only thing that saved the car was it had a decent sized tank so you could go a long way between fills and was such a nice drive.

Just say you can get your hands on a e28 or e24 or e34 .You like big sizes,esp bmw big sixes.What modern big six wouldyou/could you build to put in one.How big can you build a m54?What else could you build.?could you build an efficient m30?I was always disapointed in how hungry my 535 was,but loved how the 535 actually drove/felt/sounded.

same when i sold the 535, i had heaps of watchers,but only e34 owners came to look.One fella came up from chch !

i miss this on the e34.Pre set intermittent is never the right speed

dont get me wrong i am 6 3 and with the seat down i could find a very comfortable driving position,however the seat behind me was really cramped.Mine was a hatch,120 d great handling,steering and braking really fun car,practical too,in the end i sold it because it was just a wee bit small

have you driven 1 ?They are not a big car,the cabin is quite small,not a transverse engine fwd car.Not a criticsim just saying

yes its the tourque of the s62 that makes em such a nice car to drive,but still with reva bility.I dottn think they would be to much thirstier than any biggerengined mid size car.The v10 is completely mental in more ways than one,horrendous consumption and a small tank

you wont get 2500.It may seem to be worth that but only someone who wants an e34 touring will pay that.All the work that needs doing make it unattractive to everybody except the e34 touring nut. imho
