  1. be pretty bad conditions if you cant do better than that i reckon.Torquey motor light ish car.
  2. in my mind a dsg smg etc are not an "automatic".One of the main thing i dislike most about the tradional auto is you dont have a direct mechanical link between your foot and the rear wheels. That is not the case with a dsg smg etc...Drive a few M3 of all persuasions and make your choice. The gearbox desnt make the driver its the thought processes involved. Many many people dont "drive" The gearbox of choice for most people reflects that.If i lived in the city of sails i would probably CHOOSE an auto but it would be a dsg etc rather than a TC type one.
  3. is that what you really intended to say?
  4. yes i was wondering what had happened bumper virtually untouched!
  5. is there any damage to the actual engine?Or is the damage limited to accessories like radiator etc.Love the warnings on the dash!
  6. one nice thing about the electric seats is you get almost infinite adjustement. You dont have to think that 1 click forward is slightly to far forward but the next click back is too far...... Nice work
  7. There was a 3.5 litre V8 as well there for a bit.early E39s had a 3.5 litre v8
  8. nice body work is a testamaent for how the rest of the car is likely to have been looked after IMHO....if you find a e34 with nice body work and nice interior nowadays you have probably found a car that is up to date with other maintenance.
  9. au contraire. We know what we mean even if it seems like you dont think we do but you probably do too.

  16. shoudnt we be talking about at least daimler Benz's RR!????(they were TWIN supercharged btw the second one chimed in at higher alitudes or if the pilot pushed the throttle"through the gate"
  17. i can say that proper HID on the low beam is amazing, but even though i had the full factory system on my 120 there were times that they were very annoying to otherdrivers,ie when i am in outside lane of a two lane road and there is another car to my left ,in the area where the low beam cut of angles upward. You can tell they didnt want to be there.Bloody amazing to drive behing though. i had norma halogen high beams. There are those who say HID no good for high beam because of the delay to switch on.Dont forget that most cars low beam stays on so its not like you lose any light when switching, full brighness of high will take a second or so
  18. why dont you email BBS them selves?.I emailed the US to find out about my rz 412 becaisue i didnt know what they were.i emailed them all the markings on the rim and the y told me what i wanted to know!I think i emailed the us site bbs
