As you approach passing lane select appropriate gear and put on rh indicator, pass them instantly at high rate of acceleration, before they register the widening road

40 t0 50 faster than other traffic is a bit too fast imho....Go and stand right next to the road and see how fast 50 k is.This is my OPINION as a motorcyclist of Many years. 50 km hr is 13.8 m per sec that about three car lengths every second .I cant decide wether those people who move over do it deleiberately or if they are just dayderamin

  13. well done, glad you have basically a sound car.I dont hink i could ever buy sight unseen
  14. perfect. The 535 did that for me for YEARS even though i drove it nearly every day.1 weekend i was in the car virtually the whole weekend...left home at very early saturday morning to arrive at taupo at 8 am ,driver training all day, drive to tauraunga to see my mum, sunday drive home to welly
  15. i am very biased. The e34 used to be mine.Only buy the e34 if you enjoy a very "manual" experience.Even a manual 540 e34 and a manual e39 540 feel very civilised compared to the 535i.The straight six is awesome .The clutch is heavy, the gearchange is "slow" the brakes are good .You are always aware that it is a heavy car on a windy road but the grip and traction is good. Thirsty for what it is but if its only for the weekend prolly doesnt matter. It is a very original car and still in very good condition.I had it from 150k to about 260 k.Dont waste your money getting a BMW checked by the AA.Get it checked by a BMW dealer or independent BMW specialist. Not sure there were only 6 but there wernt many.In 1990 it would have cost more than the average house.
  16. no at one time that was the aa badge

gee i wonder what will happen when there 11 million more petrol cars on the road to replace the diesels?
  21. ditto,that seems a pretty good spec!
  22. Copyright is what I mean,as far as the kiwi...one hopes so,i would think BMW AG would be careful in such matters
