check out prices and availability of the tyres too.I had run flats on my little 120d,and one xmas i had to get new tyres and i couldnt get any bridgestones or contis(they were alreadu on it),so had to pay through the nose for some pirellis.The next time i had to get tyres all were available and even the pirellis were much cheaper!.The pirellis were actually the nicest riding of the three.

keep on top of the maintenance,and take it on a long run regularly,would be a nicer holiday ride than a ford ranger,and it will appreciate the long run too

my m 30 blew a head gasket(common) i redid everything i needed too and more because at that time i was gonna keep it for ever.I got new rockers i think (hardening was going..It cost nearly 4/5ths of what i ended up selling the car for (5500).thi swas at an independent BMW work shop.It also included a new radiator.

e87 what?I had a 120d manual,loved it but a t 6 3 it was just a wee bit small

last word re pajero my 2009 was 33k for 120 k complete with brand new A/T tyres from a dealer

i may be slightly biased but the pajero is a much nicer road car than a patrol,cruiser,or prado,its no x5 though and there is nothing wrong with taking the auto out of drive at the traffic lights,it probabaly says so in the owners manual(it does in mine)

wether true of not i beleive the tyres dont last long (big camber) and the larger dia tyres will be expensive.The diesels will be expensive to buy for sure but the economy is unbeleiviable .But ruc is about 5 c a kilometre ,rego used to be nearly 500 ,but its much cheaper now.CRDhas changed everything.Even pajeros are 150 kw now and can get 8 l 100 easy open road mileage
