you will almost always get a veering to the left because the raoad almost always has a camber to the left for drainage. Oops sorry Phil. I agree i think you have to figure out why its pulling to the left when braking
-
has anyone actually seen this one?
-
bargain, thats a hell of a nice car for that money
-
my e34 got vauge and tramliney when the tyres were worn.Could be contributing factor
-
even a BMW convertible can be used to carry a bike or take a trailer full of sh*t to the tip.My one series has a proper removeable tow bar(bought it like that). Its proven very convenient a few times.
-
you sure the brakes arent dragging slightly on the left??
-
there are those who would argue that a e39 IS a new BMW!
-
could it be a coolant leak in the heater core?
-
even earlier than that i think,i think it started life in the 60s! "The M30 was originally developed in the late 1960s based on the straight-4 BMW M10 engine first used in the 'Neue Klasse' BMW 1500. Several features, including a 30-degree cant to the right for a lower profile, a crossflow head design, and a chain-driven single overhead cam with rocker arm valve actuation, are common between the M10 and the M30.[2] 2500 version[edit]The first model to use the 2478 cc version of the M30 was the E3 2500 in 1968.

the only time i see really low number consistently is when i am in 5th or 6th at 100-110-120 on a flat road As soon as the gradient changes (or the wind blows) its into the 5s and 6 s re the wheels, gotta be the alpinas when did the diesels change from eu 3 to eu 4?

it wasnt an old lump then. But Lump may be a bit harsh. Its a beatiful engine to use,but the fuel economy is shocking.I had one for the best part of 10 years
-
and so it should. The 535 is an old lump .But the benefit of displacement(or turbo) is TORQUE.Thats why the 540 is superior to the 530.,and why the 530 is superior to the 528,and why the 535 is superior to the 525.HP only tells part of the story
-
That E24 looks awesome still. The e34 doesnt look so bad either!
-
The benefits BMW drivers enjoy arent all cancelled out by the type or size of the engine. The 120d has excellent balance steering and brakes.Just like most BMWs (relative to their peers)
-
probably the heater control valve(s).If its hot when you dont want hot almost certain
-
the 530 is a huge upgrade from the 528 belies the mere 200 cc.Cabt comment on economy but 75 k plus a day with 20 k stop start will hurt the wallet, but probably not as much over the 325 as you would think
-
or visa versa!
-
explosive? Its probably just the fusible link
-
Dont drive an X5 5.0d then, thats even more ridiculous!
-

get another relay and run the high beam headlights straight of the battery too(and another for the low beams if you feeling up to it),will probably increase output just doing that
