  1. can you use a sacrifical anode to delay this happening?
  2. I think you need to take this car to someone whi is as familiar withthese cars as possible and get them to give a very careful going over. For the present i would say you better give the brake at least a complete flush out ,sounds like the calipers are partially seized, probably because the brake fluid hasnt been changed regularly.
  3. what was the tank size on the e60?...its good to know what one can get out a tank, but the size of the tank tells the true story. My old 535 was pretty average on gas ,but the good sized tank made road trips ok 70-80l makes for a good range at about 10-11-12 l/100k.welly tauraunga welly auckland on a tank no worries. The 120 is even better 900k on only 45l.so how many litres was your normal fill up on the M5?
  4. not liking the latest version of tapatalk as much as previously.dont know of any other options for actually participating in a forum, theres lots that ok for just reading.Even fewer if you want to add pics etc
  5. if only we got the e60 in a six speed like the yanks did....
  6. not for me,i dont have the space, time or inclination to do any work on a car save a clean or maybe an oil change .If i didnt have a long commute or worked in town where bus etc was good i would have such a car in my garage.
  7. dont be a dick....I havent got room for three cars and a bike,so the car i buy would automatically become the daily driver. They are becoming so cheap they are knocking on the same price as a 530d!
  8. you can just go into the dealer and give them the vin.
  9. all those wheel cleaners are slightly caustic,i just use car shampoo in wtaer and an appropriate brush.Every now and then i polish and wax
  10. surely better to fix the problem so you get a true warning when you do lose a bulb.Have you got LEds or similar. What does the warning actually say?
  11. i do 25 k each way most days.A lot of that is at the speed limit, though there are lots of traffic lights.I give mine a good rev out and full throttle at least once a week

  14. get someone who knows what they are looking at to look at it...and take it from there
  15. i have a 120d.The torque is addictive, but the running costs arent as good as they seem, still have the get the torque thing and excellent range. The steering and braking is very sharp imho, the interior room is not as good as a FWD car but thats the price you pay for having an vey balanced platform i guess
  16. got a ticket once in welly for this.Had forgotten, even when i go the new license and went in with it hey didnt waive the ticket

License plate can be the boot hing wiring LKM resoldering is the fix for when you lights sometimes randomly dont work or go out look here http://www.bmwe34.net/ they all common E34 problems can also get obc errors when using different brand bulbs and or one light is about to blow.I used to replace bulbs in pairs and keep the other one for a spare
