  4. there is so much info on the web re e34s it would take forever to regurgitate.Alloy heads and iron blocks will eventually blow the headgasket, control arm bushes are marginal, tourings double sunroofs are troublesome, solid solid cars though lots of grip, nice to drive and nice handling for a big car if they have good sway bars, platic in the cooling systems will eventyually crap out ,i think the M20 suffers from the water pump impellor failure??
  5. set up a nice car and a few mates and hide in a couple of vans and smash the bastards
  6. if you look throught the pics you will prolly see them all.All the M6s were very very nice.....and it was great to see them out there, one guy was absolutely gving it the max...(e24)

  16. cost me about 80 or 90 bucks afew years ago to ge t four wheels complete wuth tyres from AK to WN.The stretch of water does make it more
  17. if it is stilll under warranty wont the grill be replaced FOC?.My preference is for page european, but they are likely to get the resistor from BMW anyway(for a relatively new part) so maybe go to JGBMW for that too.The other alternative is for JK european a sponsor here
  18. I know, apart from the M5 there were a few 528 and a few 540s,in all the time i had my e34 i was on the lookout for a manual 540 and from memory there were only two that came up for sale
  19. when i was looking for the 120 the118d manuals were 10 mpg better than the 118d autos, and if you look at the specs the manuals ussually have lower co2 readings.I class autos as the torque converters.Anything with a direct mechanical connection between engine and rear wheels is a manual in my book(dsg for instance) And in the end its all moot because i will always choose a manual
  20. autos are fine but boring.Part of the driving pleasure for me is that evrey shift has to be as smooth as possible .I dont drive much in the traffic, and besides the manuals aremore fuel efficent than the autos, and it was my option to get the manual. And i think it always will, untill dsg are commonplace as for the 335d i think you will find they do not come in a manual. That is true for the 535 d anyway.
  21. leading edge i beleive, because we are a latecomer to digital tv we can have the latest version of it
  22. most every repairer will use used parts, and there is nothing wrong with that as long as the part is in very good condition
  23. i have the run flat tyres on the 120d...they are harsh .....fine on smooth roads but noisy and harsh on anything else
