i must be too..i was surprised that i was not particularly impressed with a e39 540 six speed.When i jumped back into the 535 i expected to be disapointed....i was not

i post this again then had many many bikes in the past when i started missing it again i couldnt decide what to buy...found this and i guess its pretty versatile....

general e 39 issues are well known,There is a e39 buyers guide somewhere on this site.

i cant really explain why but i like the look of that.

round town?as in stop start stop start,or just slowish driving? stop start stop start lots of ideling etc i would say 15-17l 100 k .slowish 12=13 l 100 k

fwiw SONY was original equipment in BMW of that era.my 1990 E34 5 series for example had a sony head unit and cd stacker in the boot.The head unit was branded BMW

e34 and e39 quite diferent cars...the E34 is a much more "tactile" car.The e39 is a much Nicer car,the e34 will put a grin on yer face

i went to a local auto electrician(battery town i think) and got the original spec battery for the e34 was a Hella,...

so could i run my dvd recorder of mysky box for those occasions i wanted to record a program for somone else...can you output a recorded program through the av output later?

my nickname for the 535 was the panzer

was interesting to night...must be very very careful.There was prolly about 2 in of snow on the road.I came to a round about and had to stop a wee bit more firmly than first anticipated because a couple of cars fed in from the left ,if i had entered and stopped i would have blocked the first exit.The merest extra pressure activated the abs!So i was stopped dead and had a wee bit of wheel spin on take off....this was if anything a very very slight uphill.No ther probs but i was concentrating like ----the slightest squeeze on the throttle would cause wheelspin!

only you know the answer to that....the cost of repairing the E30 will probably be "more than its worth",but what is the new car going to cost(and what do you actually know about it?)
