  1. I like them, but the edges of the spokes are a bit too square compared to the BBS ones for me. But they still look good. I looked at them, but then found my BBS RB reps and so went with them instead.
  2. Doesn't look that low. My car looks same as yours, but only has 35mm drop. Pic of my car when it had a 60mm rear, 55mm front drop:

    e30 rb20det

Welcome. Been waiting to see one of these. An obvious conversion, but the sr20det seems much more popular. One question. Why did you go rb20? why not rb25 seeing as it takes up the same space, costs not much different, has more aftermarket turbe etc options and goes so much harder?
  4. $15 or less from repco from memory. Just take a drive to your nearest repco, auto one or bmw $tealership.
  5. Not me, I have done a lot of research on megasquirting my e30 so have a few clues as to where to start and am hoping to check out at least of couple already done to learn from others mistakes. Sounds like yours is a bit different to what I will be doing though. If you go into your settings for the board, you can add a picture or text as your signature so it automatically appears below each post.
  6. sh*t. Our thoughts are with you guys, this I know. Rest in Peace Jocko, you won't be quickly forgotten around these parts. Graham
  7. Do the manual while the motor is out and it is easy. From memory your ecu is an M/S? What board are you using? Would be interested in seeing it when you get it running as I want to use one to run an S/C m20b25. Also would be interesting in sourcing a missing part on my 4-door tech II kit if your bro is going to be buying a whole kit for you. Cheers mate.
  8. Come on the next bimmersport cruise and you'll change your mind about dumping your car on its ass and making it handle like a fat pig. Right Pierre? e30's can look low enough, and handle good without dropping them on their ass.
  9. Interesting Gus. Al's suggested a similar (same?) stainless rear box as an alternative to a mild steel one with a tip. At this stage the most attractive option is to maybe replace the coby with a mild steel muffler of some sort???? Which is waht I think hotwire was getting at. Yeah its 2.5". Again, after consultation with Al's they said 2.25" would be best, but 2.5" would be OK, and would allow me to keep it later on down the track when (if?) I go S/C. Still appreciate anyone elses helpful comments. P.S. everyone I talk to up here thinks it is awesome. Which only helps reinforce my thoughts that it isn't lol. PPS - before anyone gets the wrong idea, I'm not bagging Al's. They didn't do the work. Top guys for helping me with all the info.
  10. Please elaborate? I initially talked with Al's mufflers (recommended on this forum) and they recommended essentially the same system, but with 2 resonators. Assured me it wouldn't be obnoxiously loud. I was unable to get the car to them as I live 3 hours drive away, so I went local armed with the info from Al's. I am happy to go back and drop the $ to make the required mods as I am still a couple of hundy under budget, but want to make sure I only have to "fix" it once.
  11. Thnanks for the pos comments. Thanks Ollie - prob a good idea. Waste of a good coby though.... But it definately must be quietened down a bit.
  12. Ok, so the exhaust is more or less sorted now: But, problem is it is much too loud. Advice on best way to quiet it down? The shop I went to thinks another res should do the trick. Want another opinion though if poss. Chur.
  13. Will kommen. I have one of those as my next bimmer once I am finished with the current toy. Loving yours. Badass.
  14. Bien venue. Nice looking car.
  15. Hey there Jocko buddy, KT and I thinking about you mate and I hope all this comraderie brings you strength. We've only known each other fleetingly, but it has always been enjoyable. My mother won her fight last year, and I know you have the strength. I'll see you at the next meet mate. Graham
  16. Anything up to $600 full retail including labour. There is a huge variability on price of service shops and service. If you are handy with a spanner, and can follow instructions carefully, you can do it yourself.
  17. malo! Welcome to the forum.

    Crap BK service rant

I was once having a rant to the guy next to me in the burger king line on Queen Street about the absolutley crap job the staff were doing for the customers in front of us. Told the guy it was no wonder drop kicks like that worked in fast food. I then asked him what he did for work "Oh, I work at Maccas up the road". f**k.
  19. Didn't even know this was on. Was this advetised on the forum? Wouldn't have made it anyway, but sounds like everone is up to their usual tricks with the help of a few others. Bay meet, the new Nthlnd meet? Good work gettn amongst it.

    M5 Ute

Best BMW ute conversion. Gets my vote anyhow. Badass.
  21. Or more likerly, the drain hose in the firewall from wiper motor cavity is blocked which means the cavity fills up with water and overflows into the cabin via the heater system. Hose is on the firewall above where the steering linkage goes through the firewall. Its a flat, oval downpipe. Just remove it entirely.
  22. lol. nice auto m325i. They've got to be dreaming at that price. I wouldn't be asking that much for mine and it has lots more extras, manual, and easily in as good cond. if not better.

    Big Boys Toys

How come the best pic is the only one out of focus??? Shaking too much with excitement? Those 30" rims are gay. If I wanted wagon wheels on my ride, I'd buy a horse. The same 4x4, jacked up on regular sized rims, but oversize knobbly tyres would look far better. I like the Fairlane Skyliner. I looked at buing one a few years back. Would have only just been able to afford it and it probably would have languished in a shed. Glad I didn't in hindsight, especially if that is the same one.
