looks alright for the money. Pity the tech II kit is not complete. Why are almost all of the pics of Dunedin e30s on TM taken at Unity Park?
-
As JJS rightly says, the tightening of checks on mileage only came in recently in the scheme of things. All e30's and early e36's would have come in under the old rules where odo winding was the norm, not the exception. Ironically, it is these cars where whether it is an import and whether the odo has been wound matters the least as they have been here long enough for NZ service history and condition to be the deciding factor.

I just hope that guys is her Dad, not her boyfriend.

^^^What I was going to say. Wheres the new pics all restored?

Yeah, good unit, will do exactly what you want. Can even add GPS tracking if you want I believe $$$$

Details on Trademe Very tidy ti owned by a friend. Fastidiously serviced and maintained and low kms. Is in ellerslie, auckland. Cheers

Forget what cars came with what specs. Assume for now that you have two cars of equal spec. One is NZ new, and the other imported. Benefits of NZ-new would be then limited to that the kms are more likely to be genuine and the ownership history is more easily traced. For newer vehicles this may be important. However, on an e30 for instance, it is irrelevant. You buy the car with the best recent service history and in the best condition regardless of kms or country of origin. This I think is what Martyn is trying to say. If NZ new cars are more likely to have the specs you want, then you will tend to end up with one, but that is not a reason to avoid a non-nz car with the same specs. I suppose it is a good rule of thumb for those who don't have the skill to thoroughly work over a car they are about to buy, but if you have a bit of experience and have a bit of knowledge, then pre-purchase assessment should rule over country of origin.

Nice. The pinstripe makes it for me. Sets off the kit and the wheels nicely.

Nah, don't want to buy one (although have test driven that black one on the gold weaves and liked it, and have a thing for a henna 320 that I see up here). Was just wondering as notied the difference for the first time. Cheers, thought it must be something like that.

I didn't know they made single headlight e21's like this one on trademe. Anyone know the differences between this on and the twin headlight models? Maybe as this is a 316? Maybe the 320 and 323's are the twin headlight models??

Wow, the shine on those rims hurts my eyes - nice. Welcome.

We have them - they are the $5 white/silver ones. See sideskirts below: But not saying that some different ones wouldn't be cool also.

I see both ways. I pulled the Gif apart using Adobe Image Ready and if you look at every individual frame, each one can appear as either her front or her back depending on how you look at it, so when a clockwise person sees her front an anticlockwise will be seeing her back - which is also why the leg changes from left to right depending on which way she appears to be spinning - very very clever - modern equivalent of the old/young woman.

Ummm, because they won't be home when the courier arrives, or more likely - like me - live in a rural area where they don't deliver by courier so HAVE to get it sent to work. But they should suss it with their workplace so it doesn't get bounced back. You have to have auto -extend - how else can you make that last minute decision to bid a tad higher to outbid someone else? I definately agree with everything else though.

I went 16 years without once getting a ticket. Then I got my restricted....

Didn't say it was a stupid question. Also, there are right and wrong ways to get into property investment. There are also differences in taxation on rental properties versus those you buy, add value to, then sell. Do some homework. There are some good books out there on property investment in NZ, and some good info on the web. Also, don't put all your eggs in one basket - right now we are at a peak in the property market (give or take), and allthough values will continue to rise, sales have started to tail off which means you are paying the highest price just before possibly the slowest point on the graph. It may be better to invest in other areas until property has been flat for awhile (or dropped). Those looking to make a quick buck have already done so and most will now be looking at consolidating (I am). Those that got in at the end with little knowledge and too much finance will soon start to feel the pressure of the rising interest rates. Expect to see an increase in mortgagee sales soon and maybe get in that way. Those of us with a few brains stopped increasing our exposure to property 6-12months ago and fixed our interest rates as it was obvious where things were going. (I am currently earning more interest on cash in my savings account than I am paying on my mortgage). Or if actually being a landlord is too hard, you can buy units in property-based funds which often provide relatively good returns considering the lower risk.

If you have to ask us if its a good idea, don't do it. Very complex. You need to spend alot of time over there to ensure that where you are buying will produce a good return. You have to have good language skills. You have to trust the vendor and a property management company. You have to find out the rules in that country for foreign investors. And tax. And then NZ's rules about tax on foreign property investment. Its just way too much for a first time investor to make afullyinformed choice. You might get lucky and it pays off, but IMO the risk outweighs the potential returns. And thats without even knowing what they are.

William's bimmersport access hasn't been working of late, and so I'll answer for him based on a recent yarn at his pace last weekend. Basically, you can only own so many hot BMW's and he is thinning his fleet. He has two other verts, one of which is of equal calibre (or better IMO), so he is selling one. Buy it - it is a car to be proud of.
-
Close. There are recaro leather seats, but in some markets, the recaros were too expensive and BMW did their own version aswell - which is what you see in almost all nz cars that have the sport leather option.

I like it as there is no comments area for it to degrade into the state of rate my ride, however, a separate forum area where people could talk to the owners about their rides and ask questions ould be good - heavily moderated to stop ride-bashing of course. BTW, who's 325iS??

To fill the holes temporarly you can use tape. Permanently you need to have something glued on the inside, then sand, bog, sand, and paint the boot. So as JP said it is easier to buy a whole new lid and if it is the wrong colour just sand and repaint. Look around on trademe, bootlids can cost anything from $20 to $100 depending on who is selling it.

Which equates to 3.77575% I bow down to your greater precision and 5 decimal places lol.
