  1. They're 14's. TM is your best bet. PS - they should really have hub-centric rings too as the bore is not BMW fitment. But that's something for the new owner to worry about.

    Sierra RS Cosworth

+1. I have a similar deal in mind...
  3. Three generations of men from my family have dined there whilst on the turps. Myself, my father, and my grandfather. If it's still around when I have kids, I'm going to make sure its 4 generations. Haven't eaten there in years, but its an Auckland institution.
  4. Hey Laura. There are a few girls on here actually. Just most of them are a bit quieter than this lot^^^^ .
  5. Looks sweet. Go the schwarz 4-door tech II's! Sweet rims, good work on the lights, and the tech II front is straight! Top effort.
  6. You've all had your say now. If there are sticky-worthy threads and you request they be stickied, we will. If there becomes enough to warrant a new section in the forum we will. Otherwise it's status quo. ciao!
  7. It's a bit of a misnomer. If your pipe is too small you get backpressure which can "choke" your engine and reduce exhaust scavenging. If it's too big you can lose gas velocity which can cause other problems. People refer to this as being due to not enough backpressure, but that's just a misunderstanding of the principles behind it.
  8. You can listen to the rest of the Sola Roas album on their website (link in original post). It's electronica - but not dance. It's actual several different electronica genres all rolled into one album. All the tracks are based on a fairly similar electronic beat set and sound and overlaid with dub influences, jazz influences, lounge, and maybe a touch of reggae influence on at least one track. I've been listening to it all week. It's a cool album, but not as good as Antiform's. It lacks the imagination, intenseness and energy of City of Exile.
  9. Beat me to it. And her speech was crap too. Ahh well, good on ya lads in any case.
  10. I used to be a big Robot Chicken fan, but went off it a while ago. Not as funny as it used to be maybe?
  11. +1 Where does it say in their membership crap that it doesn't count if you blow your clutch outside a racetrack? They refused to tow me home when I buckled a wheel on a pothole as they don't cover "accidents". This is why I don't think I'll be renewing. I almost changed my mind reading some of the above. But now I've changed back to "nup".
  12. OT, but I saw one the same colour as yours pulling into the carpark at Te Papa on Saturday as I was leaving the F1 exhibit.
  13. ^^Yeah that's my feeling. I used to shop at BP and get the points (was great before the company got fuel cards as I'd fill up the company vehicle there and get the points), but now I have a Caltex fuel card for personal use, and the fuel savings on that cream any savings I'd get through AA points.
  14. It's only a $30k car.... Jag's are some of the best value cars for image to cost ratio (ie that $25-30k XK8 looks like a $100+k car). Unfortunately they don't have the most stellar reputation.
  15. I've been an AA Member for 11 years. I don't live in a city centre (so the fees are cheaper), and I get the long-time member discount, but I haven't used the AA in years. I can usually fix something on the side of the road myself, or I'm close enough to home that it's quicker to ring a friend for a tow than call the AA. I can break into my own car for locked keys, and carry a jump kit for flat batteries. If I'm miles from home then I guess it may come in handy now and again, but the repair isn't free at the workshop, just the tow - and so if it's so serious it needs a workshop, it's possibly cheaper to get it towed home and to do it myself. And their advocacy, advice, vehicle inspections, magazine, and stance on important issues are all bollocks. Are there other services I don't know about that are worth having it for?
  16. This passed me on my way to work today on SH 10 near Puketona. Sounded Amazing. There was a new Audi RS6 Estate up its arse. Could barely hear the Audi though!
  17. Looks awesome. Nice pics outside my old school. Which means I'm guessing the others were on the St Lukes roof carpark?
  18. It's great that they seem to be building that type of functionality built-in. The sad thing is, that alot of us have been able to do that for years with the help of 3rd party freeware. I've got an expanded task bar on my XP machine that works as you describe Martyn, and have had for years. Such a shame that Micro$oft have only just caught up.

    My Car.

Looks good. You could have mounted the front woofers in the factory location with not too much effort, but the tweeter position is pretty good for an e30. Most tweeters sound slightly bright in the A-pillar sails, unless you hae some decent active crossover control. What's the sound stage like? Not too low? Nice setup regardless.
  20. As far as I'm concerned it didn't. Server 2003 and XP = a work network I'm happy to manage. I'm still using XP on my personal machines. Will give 7 a try after overdue hardware upgrade. Glad you like it Josh - gives me some confidence.
  21. Who in their right mind trades in Type IV's???? One of the best wheels ever - esp on e36.
  22. As Simon points out, they're referring to dedicated nav apps on iphone - not google maps. It's the same as buying a standalone unit. The above links explain in depth.

    Tsunami warning

I saw it. Was working at a property that only has access by boat. Got the landing barge back to the road where I left my ute, hopped off, started walking up the beach and the ferry-man started yelling. I turned around and the bay was emptying of water. The barge was high and dry on the beach. He was beached bro. Beached as. So we waited a couple of mins and still beached. So I drive the ute onto the beach and push the barge back into the water. All of a sudden the bay starts to fill again and I'm reversing hard up the beach to beat the water. No waves, but it would have been at least 400mm to half a metre of surge. This was at 1350-1355hrs today (ie an hour ago) here.
