  1. Are you sure your wife doesn't know my g/f?
  2. Valuable feedback. Looking forward to my date with Gavin Monday week.
  3. She might be able to drive, but I don't rate her presenting. And since she isn't even that hot, I don't know what all the fuss is about. There are plenty of good female drivers out there, many with much better tv personalities than Vicki. And better looking to boot. Almost all of the other suggestions for a start.
  4. FFS that is the stupidest piece of legislation. ...in the world.
  5. Awesome!!! About time you stopped f**king about and got back on the track Andrew!
  6. I should clarify. I often use email as a way of transferring files from one PC to another - I'll send an email from one account to another with the file as an attachment which I can then download anywhere on webmail. But as all my email is synced I get the sent item and the received item (double up). Also outlook ca't seem to distinguish between a sent and received item from the gmail account when working within gmail. Works fine the other way around. That could be a settings issue. Its a fantastic tool - especially the java gmail app on my ph.
  7. Noice! Seriously dude, these are going to go down in bimmersport legend.
  8. Prices are now in the first post. I'll take clears. PM acc number.
  9. Yeah I use it too Ollie - 3x accounts. Also have gmail going to my Outlook email with a rule that just flags the messages a different colour as they come in. Only prob I have is everything I send from gmail comes through the Outlook aswell. Good if you want a record, bad if you send alot of mail and don't want to see it all twice.
  10. Weird. I know someone who used to collect the plate surrounds from them. Dumbest thing ever to do - pinch something off a cop car. Must of got some kind of thrill out of it. Maybe that's why the ones you saw didn't have surrounds????

    Quick Questions

Yup. My 1989 320i and 1991 320i (both ex japan) had it in the front. My 1990 325i's x2 (both ex SA) had them in the boot. My understanding is weight distribution, but have you ever weighed 4m of heavyduty battery cable? Thats a fair bit of extra weight on the RHS - probably fine on LHD cars, but on RHD cars that just makes the left/right distribution worse unless you have a fatty co driver.
  12. Do you have a sunroof? Is the water green? Were you parked on a slope when it rained? If yes facing up hill or downhill?
  13. Will do. In a way it was a good thing, as had it gone how I expected I probably would have bought it and not S/C'd the e30.
  14. Re: old patrol - Try giving your mates a ride like that and see how far you get!

    Dream Job

Hadn't thought of that. As you can see its a fairly young list. I'm doing my research about the maritime ones now, and going to see how they look. That was the original plan. Heard the saying about a mortgage being a noose around ones neck? Well I have two. So I need a minimum income, plus a reserve in case I lose a tenant for awhile, or similar. I just spent a good whack renovating one property to make it easy maintenance while I travel, and the rent on that one covers the mortgage so I can disappear for awhile, but I would need to earn more than my living expenses to cover the shortfall on the other property's mortgage, and rates, insurance, etc. You think like me in terms of ravel. That is/was exactly how I planned to do it (live in each place awhile to properly emmerse myself in the community and meet the real people, etc).

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Fair enough mate. There are things people do that make me cringe, but probably don't do any harm so I know where you're coming from.
  18. Hey mate. I removed it as I was cleaning up the thread, and it was just encouraging the poor behaviour. Normally those sorts of things are OK, and part of the light-heartedness that we encourage, but in some cases, when we are moderating several reponses in a thread it is only fair to remove ALL of the off-topic, or superfluous threads so it doesn't appear as if we are playing favourites. Besides, it was hardly contributing to the discussion now was it?

    M325i vs SR20DET.

Why not? Hex socket, and light torque setting. You're undoing it, not doing it up. I can't see how you could possibly cause any damage. They're usually fairly easy to undo, but the rattle gun means you don't have to constantly get out from under the car to release the handbrake, turn the axle, set the brake and then undo 2 more bolts.
  20. They're only bolt on on the SA cars as those cars have the mounting holes/bolts. Otherwise as above.

Next time use a rattle gun You wouldn't be the first or last.

    Am I retarded?

If you want to remove the entire assembly you have to undo the two bolts holding the bumper on and remove the bumper. If you have a mtechnic kit, you will have to remove the lower front bit to access the two bolts. Why don't you just swap the lenses and save the new housings for when the old ones pack it in?
  23. I've done it with a fused wire plenty of times. The reason why the technicians would use the tool is that the tool can do several other things, removes the chance for error, and allows the job to be done quickly and efficiently with no chance of cock up on a customers car. So if you want to take the risk, you know the dangers - go ahead. If you don't you know how much the tool is. Stop getting all bent out of shape over such a petty argument. I've deleted your personal attacks to each other. I thought the recent posts about appropriate behaviour on the forum were clear?
  24. You can get a new sticky thing for free from the post office.
  25. Will is having a bloody good go at emulating that!
