I loved the scene where Richard Hammond bought one in a Top Gear challenge and rolled it onto it's side after stating how sporty it was with its mid engined layout & would turn fantastically HAHAHA!

Looks fantastic. But you let em women put their shoes on your bumper!

After reading and finding out about how E36 3 series rear subframe mounting points can fail under prolonged stressful situations, I was wondering do E34 5 series suffer the same problem? Is it advisable to reinforce those areas with plates welded in or something else? Do the M5 versions have any strengthening in those areas over the non M cars?

Where to get Sparco seats & accessories?

I have, they are an option but I fancy trying my luck with the Sparco ones first. Cheers mate, I will give you a PM if I decide to look into them further. -

Cool mate, Id like to check it out one day when it's done. Yeah, in a way the best thing for an E36 is to become a track hack. It will slowly go that way further down the line, probably carry on with the ford half of the cage when that time comes, make it a 6 point. After all intend to go back to finding an E34 for my daily at some stage in 2010, without a doubt they're my favorite of all the cars I have owned, just a bonus they are so damn cheap. -

Well since I got the cage put in the car I should have got around to putting in some proper race seats as I stupid got the harness bar set too high so the stock seats cant sit exactly how I want them (they contact), so I need to get some proper seats so I can sit properly that wont hit the bar. I look forward to the joy of getting in and out in a hurry. Probably just going to go for the Spring 5, Seat base, rails and side brackets on the drivers side, passengers can wait. { How is the manual conversion by the way, I was meaning to ask! } Thanks for the 41 link, but it seems they do orders from USA basically... so its not totally ideal. Hmmmmmmmmmmmm -
So I am after some Sparco seats, rails, harnesses and brackets for my E36, where can one find them through out NZ? I have seen Cardwells but where else is there? I would rather find the stuff locally than try import & paying a heap of shipping and customs taxes. Any help would be superb.

I bought some from Keith, they were really decent.

Haha, awesome. Ray is a nice guy, had a few chats when I've seen him at my place of work during the weekends.

It's actually sad this is what BMW comes up with to broaden their range....... Sigh, sure they will sell, but only because of the badge.

That is ridiculous.

Aston Martin 5.4 V8 engine from the mid 1990's V600 Vantage. Twin Eaton M90 supechargers 10 PSI with a water to air intercooler system. Good for 600 BHP & 800 NM

LMS for sure, CH's only suit certain cars.

When is high KM's too high?
[email protected] replied to [email protected]'s topic in General Discussion
It's all about the condition and maintenance record. I've seen MANY high mileage (300K+) cars that are minter than cars with under 100,000 and 1/3 the age. My 540i with 260ks was no exception, needed some general suspension bushes but it was mint in every other respect. Some late 90's 540i's I've seen were ruined and had reasonably moderate k's so it about how well the car is, if the owner shags the car and doesn't give a toss then its going to be an ideal parts car sooner than later. -
Could anyone help, I am after some AN fuel fittings, Basically 4x fittings with a 12x 1.25mm thread, a tight 90 degree bend and hose clamp on the other end that takes, -4 or -6 size hose.

Loving the unfocused picture of the gear shifter, with dirt and everything in it.

I'm needing to tidy up a few things under the car and seen that CRC has this product available, has anyone used this product in the past? Worth it? Theres also the brush on alternatives and compressor spray on type but I am wondering if this aerosol can version is the way to go, I just have a few small areas to re coat.

Very good vehicle you have there sir.

A 320i is a non performance model so it will go, but wont go anywhere in a hurry. As previously mentioned good for a commuting car, depends what your wanting it for, economy it seems. If you could stretch to a 320d that would be my pick too.

I have had no issue
