They made E34's in 1996 before the E39's came into the line up later in the year.

Fugly like all Porsches. I don't see the interest of electric cars from a petrol head perspective, they are so boring mechanically, with very few moving parts, nothing like an ICE, plus... they never will make the sounds of a I6, V8, V10 or V12. I am still putting my interest in Hydrogen liquid as an alternative fuel for a modified ICE, BMW has done it with their Hydrogen 750i. Expensive however, but so are electric cars. :

Sounds good, E34 or E39?

I recently got a Din65 Century Battery for my E36, the low wide types, I believe its a 15 plate battery. 580cca. It seems most Euro cars can take these ones according to Century. Goes very well, no complaints. I can't see how a E46 would need anything more.

Unfortunately I am having to sell my project E36. This project was to see it become usable on the road and track with a roll bar, harnesses, seats, etc and eventually have a 1UZFE conversion. At present I am having to focus on other projects, so it has to be sold with just the cage done. I intend to buy another and re do the project again once the time is right. Here is the trade me link http://www.trademe.co.nz/Browse/Listing.as...918&ed=true A few pictures

I saw it last night. Pretty horrendous, I am surprised the showed it so freely.

Depends where its imported from and I think that half leather seat style is kinda nasty.

Worth every penny if it has genuine k's

151rwkw is not at all bad. I know the 1UZFE 4.0L V8 Auto soarers I dealt with in the past would be anywhere from 125-135kw stock. Few intake and exhaust upgrades, 145-165rwkw. Both similar engine but they are so different at the same time

It was on Trade Me about 10 months ago this one.

Cool man. Damn that sounds sweet. I miss mine again!

Hmmm good luck! I certainly don't plan on selling my E36 when the 1UZ conversion is done. Time I kept a car for a long time, at least this would be worth keeping.

Are these photos REALLY helping?

What the .... is about all that comes to mind. -
I agree, it seemed to be the case with my E36. Imagine a M50B20......

I would take a 535i over the 530i any day.

This has got to be NZ's only 3.8 M5

Very nice. Too bad it is not a 1993, with the wider kidney grille. -
Magnificent

I can't stand these 7 series. Actually since the E38 all 7 series have been pretty much rubbish to look at. Very sad really...

Looks tidy. Put a 2.5 and a manual in it and you will be set! As soon as I got my E36 I got rid of the shody door cards, and made up some new ones with the top sill of the card and the rest aluminium sheeting, also got rid of the roof lining, rear seats and put in a rear roll cage. So its got a semi road/track look. Certainly sorted out the interior nicely

I've been meaning to do this, I got a stuffed Lexus V8 block from my mechanic a while back to do the same thing. Inspired by TG of course.. Still haven't but this thread of yours has reminded me!

Just wondering how much I could sell my M50B25 Vanos and auto Jatco 5 speed for when it comes out later in the year. Done 178,000k's, oil changes done every ~6,000ks for the last 9 years of ownership. Vanos unit is quiet for most of the part, but slightly noisy when cold. Jatco 5 speed goes okay, bit of the usual jerk 1-2 but seems to pull fine. So what would the two be worth, or more so the engine? the autos are junk to most people.. (a picture just for the sake of it)
