  1. I'll grab it mate.......IF i can find a transport company that will bring it over for a reasonable sum. Sold my ute otherwise i'd get a car trailer and come get it.
  2. Back in the day (yes i'm old, aye Andy ) We would get an old leaf spring, cut it about a third along from hanger hole, sharpen one edge so it was as sharp as a butchers knife. Then just hold the hanger bush end and whack the un-sharpened edge with a big arse hammer. Best cold chisel i've ever had, won't go blunt even going through rails, just think 'knife through butter'. Also, after doing a whole car ya know you have arm muscles haha.
  3. Offset? Also where are ya located?
  4. Find out the cost of another set of trims and let me know. I could probably get your original trims looking brand new for less (including postage)
  5. How much WOF & reg has it got Brent? Also what electrical issues does it have? Just flicked off my ute and could be talked into an E34 wags pretty easily.
  6. And i didn't think of this WHY! Now, to find a suitable chassis.
  7. Headlights already done. It even came with a warning on the tank. Respect me, i will kill you

    K, have a read through these threads and get back to me. http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry332894 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry359022 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry404932 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....l=messerschmitt http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry446407 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry449042 http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....mp;#entry480808
  9. Ok, so i picked this up yesterday, '91 K1 (YES, the FUGLY one haha). It's in pretty sad shape BUT it does run well and 98% of the fairings and bits are there. Problem is i know NOTHING 'bout Beemers so any input is appreciated. How i got it. And how it SHOULD look. Was thinking of doing something like this, or just put it on TM and try me luck, it owes me two fifths so recouping my $ won't be a prob'.

    How much you wanna spend?
  11. I'm in, just need to find a car, it may not be quick but it'll be all nice and shiney at least haha. I like rule 2.8:, simple really, cheat using "hidden mod's" and you will lose out. Also like the fact it's going to be more strategy than 'out right speed'. We had a 'BOS' (bucket o' sh1t) class in the Hawkes Bay car club a few years ago, $200 max and i tell ya what, it was a blast.
  12. Have had a Samsung Galaxy Note 2 for a week and love it. Was in the market for a new phone and just couldn't decide, refuse to buy any apple products and everything else just didn't tickle my fancy. So i just bought the Note 2. To start off i thought "holy sh1t this thing's huge" (and i've got gorilla hands) but after having it a week i couldn't go back to anything smaller. I very much doubt i'll ever use it to it's full capabilities because by chr*st it's got some stuff haha.
  13. If you do paint ya bumpers body colour, do the drivers front guard too aye. First thing i noticed mate haha.
  14. Lookin' good so far. Are you using meguiars because you already had it or did you buy it for doing this/ Only reason i ask is i get tired of people saying meguiars or mothers are the best. Not having a go at ya mate, just frustrating is all. I use many different products in search of one i 'like' (still searching after 30 years tho' haha) This is one of the results of using Evercoat products, good finish and dirt cheap.
  15. 2010 320 diesel with huge rims and an M badge on the boot. That's worse than putting an M badge on a petrol 320. Only reason i noticed was i heard it then saw the badge so carjamed it haha.
  16. Rick brought his car down to me from Auck' because it had some bits that needed attention (Fill aerial hole, stone chips on front, drivers mirror painted, repair on rear bumper painted, side skirts painted & sunroof painted) Although it wasn't a lot to do i decided to give the whole car a blow over. So i thought i'd just post up a couple pic's. Also i'd like to say thanks to Rick, he could've very easily got the work done in Auckland but he took the time (and made the effort) to bring it down to me. Cheers Rick, appreciate it mate. Teasers
  17. Yeah WTF? (from a 44 year old bogans POV) C'mon Graham, have you looked at your Renaults with ya eyes open haha. That actually did make me laugh out loud. If only more would admit to it. I would post some pic's for input but i haven't got the time to trawl for pic's of 99% of late model bimmers hehehe.
  18. No idea why that's "dodgy" at all. Having been in the industry for 30 years i actually think the old fella is a skilled craftsman, and beleive me, i've seen some qualified "panelbeaters" struggle to fix a torn paper bag.
  19. Been there done that, not a nice experience mate. Years ago i was working in a paint & panel shop in Takanini, one of the panel beaters was welding in the engine bay. Smoko time came so we all went upstairs, 10 min' in a customer came upstairs and said "There's smoke coming from that blue car downstairs", so we all ran down and the retard panel beater flung the drivers door open and gave the fire a big gulp of air and that was that. Couldn't get the car out of the shop as it was on the chassis table with no wheels. The boss rang fire brigade while we tried to put it out but by then the engine bay and interior were ingulfed. The boss came out of the office and said "Fire brigade says if we can't get it out safely then get out of the building", so that's what we did. We were all standing on the side of Great south road watching smoke billow out of the roof when the fire trucks turned up. Head honcho comes up to the boss and says "So, mate, how much thinners is in there?" To which my boss says "A half full 60lt on the bench, a new full 60lt on the floor next to it and a half full 205lt of waste thinners near the back roller doors" Fireman says "Oh, ok, we'll just stand over here with you guys for awhile then, it's too far gone now and we'll have to wait 'til the thinners goes up before we'll go in" So long story short, after 3 hours, one hole in roller door where the 205lt blew and a large hole in the roof where the half full 60lt went through and traffic on Great south road detoured we were allowed back in. NOW, the moral of the story kids is 'If welding in or on a car, be sure seam sealer or under body coating is not smoldering BEFORE you go for smoko'
  20. I would IF i could find some for 31mm forks, they're made of 'un-obtainiun', like most of the bits on the bike haha.
  21. Thread dig haha. From this. To this. Yes that is brown & copper & gold leaf.
  22. This is one of the many i've done. Stunning colour BUT when it had decals all over it and a layer of dust / dirt, it looked like shite.
  23. Tristan, those 3 don't look too bad. Steve, another thing to consider when picking colours / schemes is sponsors. There's no point picking a fancy paint or paintjob if you hardly see it under sponsors decals. The 3 Tristan did are very good starting points tho'.
