cheers for the comments guys, RS's have changed the car completly, it feels so much nicer to drive, especially with black leather recaro's ect, gets so many looks now, had a guy walk up to me while I was getting out and asked if it was a m3 or just a Mspec BMW This is the pic I like the most, think i'll submit it for the calender

didn't end up taking any pics last night so took some this morning

It was making funny noise's in that video I took, when they put it on the dyno the noise just got worse and worse so they took it off because it was sounding like crap, so its currently having a going over to find the problem and also freshen it up.

long time no update. Planned to spend a bit of tonight taking some pics, so I spent the day cleaning the car up, used heaps on touchup paint on the front to get rid of all the stonechips . I also installed a 13 button OBC and it seems to work fine, but I cant set the time, the 1,10,100,1000 buttons work as I used them to set the speed function but they just don't do anything when I try to set the time am I doing it wrong? Also installed cruise control but it doesn't do anything when I pull the stalk onto resume How can I find out what's failing? Lastly I attached all the Tech2 properly (tape was never going to last), feel's alot nicer to drive knowing the kit isn't flapping in the wind. Will post pics later tonight

Quick update Bad news, its blown the 6spd gearbox Good news - we've been able to borrow a 6spd gearbox in the meantime while repair's are made, also the engine is getting 330hp at the flywheel on the first base tune. Don't know when it will be ready to hit the track, maybe next Friday

haha, this guy is nuts, 415mm is 16.3 inches so how does that mean they are "like our 15''s size wise"? im going to risk it and ask a question edit "Hi, I have friend's in Chch are they allowed to pick these up on my behalf or are all North Islanders outcast from this auction? Also how is 415mm equal to 15", as 415mm=16.3". I also went into a tireshop and got a quote of $580+gst to get a replacement tire, I thought that was a bit to much but the tireman said that metric rims are rare so tires are uncommon and expensive, cheers "

tech2 is the same fit as fl bumpers. Fitting tech2 to a pf/l is not unheard of, but it isn't easy to make it look right, especially the rear bumper

not a fan, how about some Hartge rims for $600, you just have to ask to relist. Or some simmons rims for $600, the offset can be changed on these to 15

im guessing it wasn't registered in Japan till 89' then when it was imported that's the date they took.

Might take all the good stuff off then sell it on to someone thats looking for a project. Im taking out the black leather and swapping it onto my recaro seats, as the current material paint job makes my car smell like im a glue addict also going to retrofit the cruise control and Full OBC to my car. Also swap the engine into my car, as the engine only has 180km on it, on the current one, plus it has no tic to it and sounds great like new. After that the only thing left to do is get a L.S.D. Its pretty good structure wise, has no rust on the chassis but has a little panel damage, If anyone wants it they can buy it off me for $1100 and do the auto swap and get WOF themselves or if I have no takers I will do it myself and sell it for just below market value (~$3000 for a rough one) Specs are 1990 180km SA built Auto 325i with cloth recaro seats, no structural rust, 4 door, average engine, has a Rego but ranout 3 months ago, WOF ranout few days ago, Great car for someone that wants a project car on the cheap.

Quick update with a VIDEO So the car is back at racefx with a clutch problem, it changes gear without the clutch, neutral works and the clutch slave cylinder is doing its thing, its just the pedal feels like its got heaps of air if you get where im coming from. The gearbox bellhousing is making a odd squeaky noise which might be the source of the problem. Should be back at the dyno either tomorrow or Wednesday for its final tune then its done , might goto the track day this Saturday if its ready. Sounds pretty good, the camera doesn't pick up on how loud it is.
