  1. e39's unite! nice car you have there.
  2. Nah we just locked it down delibrately to 800x600 1. because people just wouldnt stop posting 6MB images straight from their cameras .. Was killing the site, and 2. The forum size was locked when it was design many moons ago so their is no point going any bigger. You can post images larger than this on an external site like tinypic or imageshack etc if its such an issue. Nice clean car you have there! Welcome again.

  5. Good stuff dude. Trust is everything.
  6. That one you posted above is the first version that doesnt come with OBC .. we're still waiting for the second version to come out.
  7. contact me tom for the official BMW 'BMW M POWER' font
  8. Probably just trying to justify the 30k investment in wheel design. Most of the stancecrew dont have the money to do new, and theyre probably just working that business model out now.
  9. Options: Make friends with a yank. Grant lives there however hasn't been online for a while now and not sure he browses bimmersport anymore. find a (e)retailer that will ship internationally. Find out who manufactures the toy and have a look on there website for other outlets.
  10. after driving toms CSL, i've been tanted Nice cars around however, seems to be some great buying going on at the moment.
  11. Hit up Yongxi, He has 19x8.5 & 19x9.5 rezax II from my old car
  12. No, not without modifications. You can make it work by cutting a bell housing off the 4 cylinder onto 6 cylinder gearbox housing. It needs to be rotated a little. Can be done successfully it your fabricator knows what theyre doing.
  13. Good to see someone post up there budget. And congratulations on finishing your project! you must be very proud! Lots of people fall into the trap of time + workshop space + budget. Doing a car is very expensive. This is why I did mine over 5 years. (that and I had a second project car at the time and band album) I personally spent what you did again on suspension and brakes / running gear etc things start to look north of 50k and then your realise youre still going on the details as these things are never finished (I've stopped counting for sanity reasons). I totally understand why people take the shortcut way and I totally understand why people giveup half way through a project as it is a huge commitment. It also requires a lot of help from a lot of people. Me personally, I wouldnt have been able to do it and probably would of given up if I didnt have the help of HellBM workshop space / hoist and the ability to test parts out in realtime. Also the help of Brendon fulltime afterhours with me working on it most nights and weekends up in Silverdale. Also Ray giving up parts of his weekends to let me work in his workshop. You also touched on something that I dont think people give consideration to and that is socail and family time. My wife has been very understanding and realised it was one of my life goals to do a car project and while it did put pressure on our relationship she cut me a break on more than one occasion. At the end of it all though, you can smile as walk past your garage every night at what you have acheived.
  14. Cant wait for this to come out.. Trailer here http://vimeo.com/29045160 http://24hours-der-film.de/

  19. This was explained to me when I did mine which is essentially the same design youre after being a mid 6 cylinder. Best mid range torque power below For NA in your literage Engine: eqaul 3 into 1 then dual 2 inch thin walled stainless pipes all the way as far as possible to a rear muffler, the straighter the more power you make but you make more noise. You can run an x-pipe if you wish however it requires tuning on the dyno to make real power, if you get it wrong = less power than you started with. For x-pipes you really need a dyno and fabricator with some test pipes to do it properly .. basically $$$ For higher RPM cars (+7k rpm cams + head upgrade (more flow) ) same formula accept use 2.5 inch piping.

I changed mine since the photos in my build thread... Im in wellington for a few days away from the car but will get underneath and photo it if you like ? It was a fine art (mm's) of allowing room for the sump and clearing the headers (even with fabricating the number 6) My biggest thing was allowing the sump and engine to settle on the engine mounts ... yeah sounds the same as mine ... your biggest thing is centering it between a uncompressed control arm and your exhuast .. trail and error and shimming of your bush brackets and maybe slightly longer bolts ?

Not an e36 but have done mine with the low ratio 2.7 z3 rack... spacing you can use shims and nutsas spacers Swaybars are interesting... i went for Ireland engineering adjustable bars which worked perfectly with the control arms / s50 headers / exhaust etc stock ones where a major and required new bushes to be made with custom shackles etc

Actually my mistake .. i thought you were talking about a tu motor. as you were And no need to get personal... respect level just goes out the window with sort of behavior. I know youre new to this forum and really on a secone chance but we all try to get along here without the childish insults

Cool story bro. Read that doc 5 years ago .... may i suggest you have a look at page 9 then go read up on PWM. there is a lot of literature around. In other news... you can pick up the translated cam position signal from the ecu which will help you translate actual and target values
