Ive been on an Galaxy S2 for the past 6 weeks (my first smart phone).. and I cant go back to candy bar ever again. I also try and use the wifes iphone4 and the first this that gets me is what a tiny screen it has. Next thing is how laggy it is, then after that the fact I need to install itunes to do anything. Dont get me wrong, iphone is and has been an awesome device, a revolution if you like .. but as some of the media are saying, apple have a lot of catching up to do and I dont think an upgraded 4 with the same inferior screen will cut it.

basically, check with Ray first before giving up -
Looks awesome .. and that m42 should go real well. Had a mate with one turboed in an e30 and it was one hella of a good time. Perfect power vs weight distrobution in my opinion. I kind of wish someone would turbo a 2.3 s14 from the e30 m3 ... would be again one hell of a motor in any car and flow pretty well. You can port them pretty well or if you have the $$$ modify a 2.5ltr head. Nice work on the engines, keen to see more stuff youre cooking up. PS we both need to get started on Ray's monster soon

Yeah you gotta watch that ... lots of things hidden in other locations .. My favourites finding the random little engine bay wire separators or clips ... at least one or two of the major ones are under miscellaneous sub catagories. I suspect that they may have been added to the cars catalog at a later stage.

fingers crossed for ya . ..good luck!

Check all the external rotating parts before pulling the motor to bits first.

Hmmm Westy had his m62tub44 altenator bearing seize and blow up on him, it sounded like this before it finally did. the tapping/rattleing sound im not sure .. but the clue is when you turn the car off you can hear the distinct churp sound of a seized bearing of some sort. I wouldnt run it anymore until someone looks at it..

haha I had the same idea a few years a go as its what the e30's nickname was (the messerschmitt) but never had the balls to do it. Glad someone did! .. looks awesome and very well done!

You guys should look at the dealers more often .. I priced up a part from all the usual cheap online etailers then priced up from the dealers ... it turned out $30 cheaper from Jerry Claytons than anyone else after GST and freight. The US dollars doing wierd things at the moment .. dont always assume its cheaper over seas. US have to purchase against the euro remember and whos $$ is stronger. Saying that my usual euro parts etailers couldnt match it either.

Have a look at the runner intake boot between the MAF and the intake manifold for cracks.. DISA valve etc. Check seals around this area too and other breather pipes etc .. jump on e46fanatics for more info on these problems .. plenty of info. Next, have it scanned for sensor or other faults. Lack of spark to one or more plugs is another problem. Lots of things it could be .. start with those.

It will, you just have to follow a few basic guidelines here you go http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....showtopic=34872 -
Yeah nah ... Will do at sustain periods around 180 depending on the oil. If oil broke down consistantly at 120 there would a lot of broken cars around. Annnyways ... found the culprit with a mild suggestion from conrad. It turned out to be the oil thermostat in the filter housing (its an s50 thing) ... Got one on order now ($517 later ) so will strip off the old one and replace.
