think they are different, here is a realoem link, http://www.realoem.com/bmw/partxref.do?part=1+374+798 1 374 798 is the BMW part number my research yesterday say. seem to only be in the interior lights and a whole bunch of BMW motorbikes which incidentally never knew they were even on realoem ha edit: maybe i should try BMW Motorad in wellington tomorrow.... might have solved me own problem ha

E30 Battery to Boot installation - help appreciated
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to RipJaws's topic in Electrical system
Cool! let me know if you need any pointers! pretty easy to d just time consuming. Toughest part is poking it through from firewall, especially if dash is in place. -
i think he was meaning if you kept same engine, it doesn't need it. i.e. my stock 325i having a manual gearbox swapped in does not require a cert you would be needing a cert for an engine conversion anyways.

E30 Battery to Boot installation - help appreciated
_ethrty-Andy_ replied to RipJaws's topic in Electrical system
all 325i coupes and sedans have them in the boot, so you can find retrofit kits easy enough, any wrecker should have it. But is it worth it?? having done it before, its a pain in the ass, most of the interior has to come out etc, and for what. its only 20kg or so, and you are probably adding about half that again in cables anyways. -
takes a hell of a lot of guts and balls to come back and say all of that, i admire that!

coil overs are sketchy everywhere in NZ! i would never have gone to them if my cert guy didn't dictate i needed stupid high spring rate in the front, even higher than a 750iL wtffff -
on the gear box. you will need to get under car. remove plug, short with a piece of wire, key on ON position but not started, and see if backup lights come on, may need a mirror or the wife to help etc

_ethrty-Andy_ replied to rowans17's topic in TradeMe discussions
can't comment on that one, but keep well away from the white one with the hard top, was a water damaged car that went through Turners a few years back -
