  1. good buy, the B20 engine goes straight in the bin and put a B25 in there, the B20 is wayy to underpowered for a car this size, i get about the same economy with my V12 swap as i did when it was a B20
  2. interesting that the airbags didnt go off??? http://www.turners.co.nz/Damaged-Vehicles/Search/BMW/323i/12491968/
  3. y'all know what it is. must have vibration dampner and wiring.
  4. no idea what mine are or what i paid but repco jobbies and holding up fine
  5. does the engine sound like a ticking bomb?
  6. yup thats what i did. also had to modify the second one as the curve wasnt quite right, the first one i got was perfect its just the reality of playing with fiberglass
  7. yep they landed today, will repack and send out on monday. But those of you in Wellington if you would rather not wait, i should be around all weekend, send me a text/PM
  8. Needs a euro bootlid instead of that japanese thing, and the stickers by the exhaust deleted.
  9. LOL give the game away, leave a brother some secrets!!
  10. and the 2 series and the i series They are doing what MB and Audi have done for ages it seems.
  11. nope, definately driveline related. looks good!!
  12. Well i reset it only 4 or 5 months ago, when changed everything including timing belt etc when i brought it. And it wasnt on when i left or any time since i reset it 3 months ago or so. but has come on since hitting 130,000. dont even know how it knows the cluster at 130k though, i dont recall any linkage between the SI board and the cogs, but it is what it is.
  13. Thanks for the headsup Geoff, I will be looking at this, i buy quite a bit of stuff off ebay for work etc.
  14. yeah, had that front ///M badge kicking around here for years, waiting for a car worthy to put it on. That Tech1 is Chris's "slideways", its a nice car! No, wont be going Tech2 on this car. Have done the Tech2 thing before on my first E30. as far as looks go its exactly where i want it now, with the 318iS/325iS front lip and the tech1 spoiler etc. except thinking about the wheels, looking at importing a set of brand new and genuine 16" Borbet Type As for it. Borbet have recently started making them again, but are not offering the flat caps they used to in the 80s and 90s, and i personally think the hex caps slaughter an otherwise gorgeous wheel.
  15. No, that SI thing must be programmed to come on at 130k because it wasnt on when i left. But at the age and known problems with the batteries in them, i would never rely on the E30 SI indicators anyways

fantastic, will go kick tyres tomorrow!
  17. Photo Drop inbound And these ones from Hard Park
  18. Yup happy to bring it up at some stage! I generally take either the Hiace or the V12 to auckland when i head there, as i almost always try to tie in some business at the same time. Keep the KMs off this car, and other two can fit a hell of a lot more gear in the back etc. But if you give me a reason i can come through for the weekend! has to be a saturday afternoon event though, as a trip to auckland always includes a written off Sunday morning before heading home, its a dangerous place lol
  19. Eibach Springs and Billy sports for a 325i sedan, so probably a wee bit lower than they usually would be due to the extra weight that seems to be noted on the internet. its about perfect where i want it. Low enough to get the look right, while still being very much drivable. Ill try find a better picture, i cam-whore this car enough, there must be something

  21. took this picture today. would have been better with a proper camera but i dont own one, iPhone 4S whhhaatt. If anyone is bored and whats to 'shop this for me would be cool! bring the colour out of the car a but more etc
  22. Oh i was well aware it wasnt legal to drive home. But it made it back to wellington, never missed a beat. front shocks leave a wee bit to be desired, and for some reason when cruising along at 50km/h or so regardless of gear its a bit jerky, no idea why as i havent come across that before, but will research it when i have some time. Meanwhile, had an expencive trip to the bottle store today in my little 325i Convertible
