  1. rattling plate is easily solved with a strip of trim tape behind the number plate, and leave the backing tape for the other side on the strip so the plate can still move, or it will find another place to vibrate etc.
  2. i seem to remember you loosing a numberplate in a puddle once??? Fkn aye. is yours a GQ/Y60???
  3. this was made by the guy that owns R3vlimited (E30 specific forum)
  4. i brought an E30 off a guy down here several years back that had two 8 series both black as i recall. and a few 6 series, among other less exciting things.
  5. these are you mate http://bimmersport.co.nz/topic/49062-fs-ac-schnitzer-type-ii-wheels-567-series/
  6. mounting bikes on roof racks is really fun when you try to enter car parking buildings, garages, carports, or low hanging trees
  7. i have a replacement engine here for it, i want $350, if you change your mind
  8. yep, regardless of how straight it looks, will still sell at above price. definitely seems to be too good to part at this point, but its the underneath that counts. was kinda brought with the intention of using the engine and gearbox in my dads Suzuki 4x4, but will see what happens, its too good for that i think
  9. Have looked into that. Its $440 to reregister including a WOF issued. You need to buy your yearly registration etc on top of this, and potentially fix any issues that come up during inspection. I know i could get $3k for this without too much hassle, providing it was WOFd and Regd, though i would end up keeping it if i went through with that probably. If i had a garage that I trusted i would take it for an inspection as though it is a normal WOF check, but I only use VTNZ now as i find they are actually the least harsh, and they won't be able to do a check like that id imagine. A mate of mine has a heavy diesel garage with a pit that I am planning to take the car down to this weekend to have a look under it and see what I can find. This is providing the pit is clear. If it all checks out, and doesn't sell at $1500, probably go ahead and get it recompiled. It was only deregistered about a month ago. god knows why.
  10. laguna Seca is a very hard track to get right, doesn't matter what game i have played with it in there. that sweeper after the longish straight gets me all crossed up, and then that really tight S bend with the weird camber... haha
  11. China makes a lot of things you don't know they do! these are highly unlikely to be real wheels, probably fakes/reps etc
  12. is it back to having a chrome grill yet?
  13. still expensive to sort out/keep on top of though. spent about 2500 or so on my engine alone over last year or two. Mind you its pretty straight now, won't be spending anything on it for a couple years at least now apart from oil changes etc
  14. they are quite good, wish i took some photos. I have the same wheels on my wagon now, but i can't really take any pics at the moment as i run them with a 15mm spacer in the front of my car because i am running a staggered tyre setup, so the overall look is back to square. plenty of photos on the internet though, they are fairly common wheel on the E34
  15. just make sure you have the balance of weight over the front of the trailer, nothing like trailer sway at 80kmh+ been there done that.
  16. I bet there is some clause that it voids the factory warranty though. my definition of a capable offroader must be very different to yours i think Jon. not some nancy boy stuff they probably do at the BMW sponsored days. Nothing like taking a 4x4 to its very limits, THAT tests its capabilities. I bet my GQ Patrol will go more places than that X5, and all it has is a rear LSD. No wizardry of any kind, and its the same size truck. edit: that said, wouldn't mind taking this one for a squirt
  17. how to i post screen shots????? my S62 E46 M3 looks tits. Actually now i think about it, does that make it a E46 M3 GTR???? what engine did the GTR use??
  18. LOLOL you sir, best post today. Surprisingly it does have those things. and a jack too. None of this stupid gooey tube crap the new BMWs have. it also had a sticker saying "pardon my swag" on the back window, but i wasn't sure what swag was, maybe some sort of infectious disease it caught while in hamilton??? so i took that off.
  19. was this the days when student loans got paid out in a lump sum? no uni student i know has 2k lying around, luck to have $20!
  20. probably were on the 316i. no clock in the middle by the stereo, was relocated to the cluster. Probably cheaper to produce. my old 316i had a normal cluster with rev gauge, and also had the clock next to the radio like normal.
  21. thats my old 316i. but my E30 325i cab was RL1073 many years ago now. replaced with JACKY sold to me in a divorce dispute temporarly FHR something now ETHRTY
  22. i already know michael will buy this for his E36
  23. Good straight set 17x8.5 et13 Perfect for 5, 6, 7 and maybe 8 series BMWs, excluding E39. i do not know if they are fakes or genuine. Have been used for my semislicks, but won't be buying another set of those, so no real need for these now. May sell just two if thats all you require. $600
  24. i dont understand why the engine from your M3 isn't in that wagon yet. Edit: just don't get michael involved, it will take 6 years to complete
