  1. sounds good. Maybe a reconciliation sheet between the US and Euro cars would be able to solve this problem?? can think of quite a few differences i have found while on those US forums. but they are pretty well the same underneath
  2. i couldn't resist. But seriously, just give him a call. I can't remember what it was he did, but have chatted to him before, he is a friendly guy
  3. Possibly, but the chance of getting enough people to make it worth while is probably nil. i suggest you design up what you want, i can send you some of the ferns so that you can figure out the size you need to make them to, and then from there you can take them in to some design/printer crowd, and see what they can do. Just be aware it costs every time they set up a printing machine, so the cost for doing two pair of stickers isn't going to be too much less than doing 50 pairs. i wouldn't be wanting to get involved any more than sending you the stickers i have here so you can mock up etc.
  4. more expecive though, because you will be paying the full price ($60US=$80NZ), and shipping from germany from NZ on top, so probably about $100-110 if you did it all by yourself.
  5. i got all excited and was going to start giving this keyboard a flogging. then i remembered everything that fits into those categories is on R3vlimited (US based - by far the biggest E30 community) or E30Tech (UK based - more relevant to RHD Eurospec cars like ours) As much as i would love to keep people here, is there any point recreating the wheel?
  6. yep, both great ideas. Subscribing is a good option. this thread only gets action when there is an order of course (well except for now...) so when you get the notification that there has been an update to the thread, come on line and take it from there. haha look, if i was selling them for $90 a pair and making a bit of money on the side, id be more than happy to put in the work to make a sale, like any other business person. but i don't make anything on these. I do it from the kindness of my heart LOL So if one more or one less buys, I'm really not bothered at all, so long as its close to break even if there are more than 10 people, then make a little profit which accumulates and pays for the shortfall on orders like the last one which didn't break even.
  7. even though I'm not really a jag fan, hard to say whether all original with original type motors is better than using the same body and putting a late model engine in??? I'm sure there are plenty of very well restored ones around already??? i bet owners of "original" ones might not be too happy about the price of their investment falling????
  8. all of these photos of X5s off road, they all look like ones straight out of the BMW marketing journal. Anyone here supposedly taking their X5s off road got any gnarly pictures to prove what they are saying? My Nissan Patrol is 20 years old with no tech on it what so ever other than an electronic locking centre diff and a mechanical rear LSD. Its not lifted, and its on Pirelli A/T tyres like any other road 4x4. Completely bone stock Marketed to the same people. probably a 10th of the power from its diesel non-turbo yes non-turbo lol. torque converter automatic Who wants to go for a run? (don't get me wrong, id like to see the BMW do as well or better. But i don't see it happening.) Im going to Boomrock this weekend, and i think one of the activities is to take an X5 out. so i will see what it can do, but i don't anticipate they will let me do much with it.
  9. 316i are more expensive than 318i and 320i. this is because they are more economical (only because they don't have the balls. if driven hard they are much worse than 318i 320i etc) I have a very tidy 316i 4 door facelift here in white, the catch is its deregistered yours for $1500 will be going up on trade me this weekend probably
  10. looks great!! did you have the modify the rear frame at all in the end?
  11. The boat doesn't wait a whole month before you recheck this thread. I do not hold people up for those that can't decide if they want any. No idea when the next one is yet. Will decide when i have enough interest etc.
  12. think its a few more cylinders than a V8, and lots of power revving up that quick!

    LED Bulbs

yeah, a mate of mine did something like that on his E46 318Ci when he upgraded to the later full LED type housings.
  14. i think you may be reading on USA based websites. from memory the silver type is EWS, so if you want to use silver type you will need to retrofit EWS in too. may get an insurance discount???? but otherwise not worth the hassle probably
  15. yeah, would agree with Kelvin, have seen a couple in the Orange now in Wellington, yet to see a white one. Keen to take one for a go one day. See if they really are the spiritual successor to the E30 that a lot of journo's said it was.
  16. sorry, missed the word "early" ones. like E21 E28
  17. Found this in my Facebook news feed from another member here http://news.epicinter.net/could-this-be-the-future-of-internal-combustion-engines/11 the minds that come up with these things! Is it too little too late? i wouldn't expect any of the big manufacturers to develop an engine like this for production
  18. Total garbage. (though really M20 ones MAY be different, but we talking about E30 ones)
  19. usually only one collapsing is enough to make them not work, one is usually still fine. should be able to get a good one from a wrecker etc. highly recommend Brent @ BMWorld [email protected]
  20. wtf? I will email Turner with an order of a dozen, see what they say
