i brought a new (but second hand and hardly used) bike a month or so ago but i want to put disk brakes on it. I do know the difference being on a few before. anyway mine has V-brakes currently. What is involved in converting to disks? is it just a case of buying calipers and disks or do i need new hub assembly and/or wheels?

FYI the porsche one isnt an upgrade. its on par with E30 at best. its only there fore the M50 conversion due to space constraints

The ecu i sent you has already been tuned by Gavin, though It should really be running a nonvanos m50b25 intake cam. That setup was pulled from kerrys engine before he went to independant throttle bodys and put straight onto mine i didnt modify it at all. Be carefull if buying injectors as well, from memory i used m50 ones not m52, as that what kerry had done. I cant remember if i ended up swapping them or not

I did number 3, but heres a tip if you do this option. Make sure you actually put a music file on the disk.. Just go to your itunes or whatever and take the lomgest song or two you have and burn it to a disk, you want to try fill the disk so the cd doesnt overheat. It will go into an error loop if you dont do that.

+1, would make it that bit different. they are really only uneconomical if you drive them like that from what ive heard, suposedly a good engine

You could try testing the service indicator batteries in the cluster. Tends to be more of a USA only issue, but does still happen in euro land, and can cause all sorts of issues with the cluster. That and a bad grounding either on the brass nut on the back of the cluster or in the passenger footwell are the main reasons these become faulty.
