  1. yep, i did the rear left bearing in the black E30 and low and behold not even 10,000km later out it was to be replaced again, this time by genuine.
  2. we already sorted it when i came in Jon loosing your memory old timer?
  3. and you and Jono and Kerry and a few other members at intermarques! lol sorry! and a potential candidate for the new company car much to my disapproval
  4. but the wheels wont be balanced if you do it like that...
  5. Brad (Ven) in his E30 HOSTGE on my way to see Jon and his toys both in palmy
  6. what one do you need? 6cyl 4cyl auto manual etc
  7. yep you dont NEED the full subframe if your swapping diff sizes though, as the rear subframes are the same between all E30s. just make sure you get all the mounting bolts when you buy one. a medium case will be fine for your application
  8. yep your right, the M20 flywheel does fit, but then that adds the complication of potentially having to run an M20 starter and maybe clutch and throwout bearing etc. youd be best to stick to E36 parts just to be sure
  9. cups are the lowest if thats what you want?
  10. they are much stiffer. you can use non-vert on vert and viseversa though and get away with it
  11. agreed! i quite like the 900 Turbo too which they rubbish in that episode. actually before i brought my first BMW that was one of the cars i was considering even tested a few. found the E30 was an all round better car tho, and rest is history.
  12. hate tomatoes. hate tomatoe sauce. like italian food with chopped/crushed tomatoes. go figure
  13. i dont have any side on photos of my black car, but this photo shows it next to my M318i daily i had at the time (factory special, is basically a m325i with an M40 engine if your interested. one of 7) H&R + billy sports in the black car, stock ///M shocks and springs in the silver one. the black car is also on 55 profile tyres rather the 45s that an E30 should typically be on with 16" rims, so take the black cars height and drop it another 10mm or so in your mind. youll have to click the link because they are too big for bimmersport page. http://s707.photobucket.com/albums/ww78/et...nt=HPIM0415.jpg http://s707.photobucket.com/albums/ww78/et...nt=HPIM0409.jpg If i remember rightly they drop the front 60mm and the back 40mm. but thats from the stock E30 height. Motorsport suspension is already about 20mm or so lower than stock all round
  14. get the H&Rs from the same site as Mark (1rotty) suggested. they are pretty much the best you can buy short of coilovers. i had that setup on my M52 E30
  15. They might be yanks, but pretty sure they got that part sorted lol. maybe i wasnt quite clear what they needed to know. see below obv knows where the M42 goes, but they dont have the M40. just want to know if its mounted any further forward or back than each other if anyone knows. thanks
  16. in case anyone interested, the E34 ones are just under $700US, even sharper. im not quite sure why im not pressing buynow
  17. question as per title please! not for me, one of the guys on bimmerfest (US site) wants to know and they dont have M40s over there. cheers
  18. i was one of those people back when i only JUST brought my 520i. the interior is sadly covered in paint from my peek in the window as i was talking to him. he told me he will just be running it into the ground and wont sell it. its auto though from memory, but its on schnitzers and had the m-kit
  19. im looking forward to breaking 100kph on that long straight this year haha
  20. so went to jump in the car last night to go down the pub car started and backed down the drive, when it got to the end it died. car would crank but did would catch once or twice and then drop again. when it caught it was regular though as though only one plug was firing. swapped fuel relay as my first test. no change. swapped main relay for the heck of it, no change. took off fuel line to check i was actually getting pressure and was. by this stage i was getting abusive 'where are you' texts and i was in my good kit so didnt do any more repairs and took the trusty corolla instead. go back out this morning, key in the ignition starts up first pop as it always has. have started and stopped about 10 times today and every time sweet as so question is what else should i check? i need to replace the sparkplugs anyway but is there anything else one can think of? diagnosing isnt my thing when it comes to engines. cheers
