  2. that may be true, but not when i made this post
  3. ....which causes holdups to the next in line....... haha
  4. you can buy a house for $232,000 and it sure as hell wont be worth 17,000 9 years later..... even if i was a multimillionaire... no way id pay that
  5. happy birthday mate! but i know you'll have a good one....
  6. A crush washer that fits the bolt
  7. Bnt. Euro italian (forum sponcer) is good too
  8. whats all this newage technology??? lol but seriously, its dead easy on the M40. SOHC 4 cyclinder engine in a huge engine bay. just make sure you line up the lines they tell you about in the guide before removal, and again just before you put the belt on
  9. that may be the case, but the M5x engines are streaks ahead of anything found in an E30. M5x and later its just not worth messing around with trying to work out what went wrong when you can do a scan and it will tell you. Yes you can do that on an E30, but its not always true, and can tend to be conditional. That said, i wouldnt extend to saying you way off... thats just rude, particularly with no justification as to why. It could very well be that, or something along those lines. Im just saying a scan is the best way to find out
  10. happens to the best of us. at least he still has the 'charger and all that so not a completely wasted exercise. make sure you ram it home to be clearer in auctions though, as your not the only one that could have been caught out like that
  11. have never found that, and ive filled my cars a few times with engine still running over the years. too many dicky batteries. maybe the late model stuff does, but not E30s
  12. only 3? wow thats great i thought it would be more. however the guy that built it wasnt sure on what level it would create as he had never done one for a BMW before, so i told him use what you would do if it had an RB28 Nissan in it as its pretty much the same, so he has got it pretty close then! you will notice that you could fit in another resonator under the car if you wish, they were going to put two in the center section, but i told them to budget for 3 but just put two in, so that i could put another in later if i needed to for cert. However he also mentioned that the car MAY need a Cat to pass certification (as the E36 328i had one) which will drop the sound itself. that was the other reason we left that space. this is what my guy did. it works well. I dont think it would be possible no matter who you took it too if you didnt do that. DONT buy ones off eBay as they are for LHD cars
  13. i was going to point out the -. in the first auction it says included, but you didnt win that auction so thats irrelevant. I can list my car with AC Schnitzers and decide to hold on to them after auction close and relist saying not included. doesnt mean your getting them just because you "watched" the first auction. I would have clarified the - sign before bidding...?
  14. happy birthday mate, still think yours is the best looking e30 on this board!
  15. yes it hasnt done it again so thats good, and i know what to do if it does as well. I have an iMac at home and also fix the odd iMac that comes through work but still not experienced with the trouble shooting on them. I use XP as my desktop at work, as I refuse to learn how to use Vista or 7, but thats a whole 'nother arguement. thanks all for suggestions
  16. What was the damage to the pig? would love to see this one of these days

  20. Does anyone know if they exist for post-Neue Classe BMWs? or even if a capital T was available? i know they call them, for example, a 525iT, but i dont think ive seen that as a badge? cheers
  21. I found the screws kept comin out so i drilled new holes and tip tied the bastard in place. Its quite dangerous having it in there some times. Mine caught the accelerator once and that was why i decided to remove it. Lucky i was manual so i could clutch in, or who knows what might have happened
  22. red e30 (tech1?) vert with the houndstooth/tartain seats today on the motorway in wellington. Looked good except going the opposite way. Wasnt Ian, maybe someone else?
