  1. im your man. Talk to you on MSN in a sec
  2. Seems like the sensors ar to blame, anyone know which ones to change from this diagram? http://realoem.com/bmw/showparts.do?model=...hg=11&fg=35 All three are unlike the ones that were on my own M20, so i dont know which do what :S Number 13 needs to be changed as one of the terminals is broken off lol, is that the one for the cluster? Cheers, Andy/Mitch
  3. Top tip: use a standard E30 wheel bolt. put the head of it into the hole and then use the open end of your 17mm ring spanner on the bit that doesnt quite fit into the hole e: or as michael said, except finding a nut to suit that thread could be hard? the head on the wheel bolt is more than long enough in my experience..
  4. he has an 84 prefaclift e30 coupe, NZ new in white _b we bled the cooling system (wasnt sure if this would help, but needed to be done anyway), changed the sensor and tightened the grounds on the cluster and those dont seem to have fixed it. gearbox is reletively easy mitch. Ill give you a hand to do that if you like
  5. a few on the last two pages of my build thread http://www.bimmersport.co.nz/forums/index....27698&st=45 note my car is on 16" rims with 55 profile tyres, an E30 on 16"s would usually have 45s or maybe 50s, so other peoples cars will sit lower on them. i just like the stance my setup gives while still being practicle-ish
  6. oh really maybe i wont have to write anything down.. thats about where mine is lol
  7. haha yeah. if only carjam worked like that too :S
  8. thanks! really need to sus this one though too as my odo readings will be out otherwise, i like to keep an accurate reading for oilchanges and such. ill text you this arvo if i remember lol
  9. excellent kit, its what i run in my E30. definately reccomend it!
  10. Got an issue with the cluster in the E34. the Gauges themselves go and are faultless showing the correct readings etc. however the LCD part only goes first thing in the morning and by the time i get to work its dead. The odo continues to count so far as i can see, but the trip meter always resets to zero when i turn the engine off and leave it for a few hours. The part that says the transmission mode and ratio works fine at all times, as do the lights that light the cluster at night anyone have any idea whats up? was told by the previous owner it may be capacitors, but a quick google search brought up the opposite for caps, being the cluster not working to start with and then coming on when warming up....??? cheers lads
  11. may take the standard ones will get back to you tomorrow
  12. got MTA vouchers, vouchers for DSE which will be spent on a low profile subwoofer for the wagon, a couple of top gear merchandise, and..... ... they dont sell car audio anymore so i decided to get a Navman instead. dont have a huge need for one, but if its only going to cost me $80 why wouldnt i ha. one more thing to help prevent tickets
  13. if there is definately spark, then there is either no fuel and/or no compression and/or no air. if nothings changed on the engine compression wont be te issue. does the engine suk through the airbox? if so then its fuel also, does your car have a nissan starter motor in it? doesnt sound like any e30 ive seen or driven, it does sound like my dads offroader though lol (Nissan powered Suzuki SJ)
  14. knew there was a replacement, but thought you had to change compressors/condensors/hoses etc a cost that made it not worthwhile. my mistake /OT

for someone used to a controller for gaming a wheel is hard. but they are easy to get used to. make sure you get a wheel that mounts to a table/has a stand/some sort of securing to your legs device, as nothing more anoying than turning the wheel and the whole unit turning putting your car into the wall because you havent turned the corner. my 2c
  16. i was on the understanding that E30s used the old standard of refrigerant and were illegal to refill?? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dichlorodifluoromethane
  17. I will not be organising another order for the forseeable future. If i get talked into it, it wont be till at least end of feburary as im too busy with work and then two lots of holidays. I have been assured that anytime i buy from him i will get the price hes given me (which has been passed on to you) so would be the same amount. However, if you want to organise one and get peoples money/adresses in and everything and pay for it, i can send off an email with the order and have it shipped to your adress for you to deal with? bear in mind that you need at least ten people for price to be $55 each, and plate frames weigh a lot reletive to cost and therefore cost more to ship per unit. bit of a gamble on pricing. i made a loss the first one and just covered costs in the second two and came away $2 up over 3 group buys ha
  18. yeah they are mint pads. but even the old ones were sh*t and it did it with no meat on the pads. fitted new calipers (that were indentical) and they did the same thing. ill look into that, wont pollute jacks thread Edit: and definately dont go under the car with wood axle stands. had my 316i nearly fall on me doing the same thing. saw the car starting to slip and shimmyed out before it fell. had no engine or interior in it mind (was almost totally stripped out, was dismantaling the suspension) but the scare was there and lesson was learnt
