-

I have a chubb 1kg one in the boot of my E30, mounted on top of that shelf like thing next to the jack on the liner. piece of ply on the other side to anchor it there for something to screw into. was going to put it in the cabin, but didnt look clean ha. at least its there
-
never a bad mod to do to an E30 lmao
-
cracked up when i noticed someoen had taken all the front struts. you have a few 45mm ones too you took by accident though i think?? found what i was after lying on the ground anyway though, just after the nuts that go onto the tierods/outer ball joints and the tops of the struts. was tempted to get the rear cream leather seats they had up there for mine ive always wanted them but oh well. Time for another welly meet i say!

pickapart LSDs ftmfw!!! OT sorry but did you notice if the front suspension had been played with on the E30(s) up there? i need a few bits that got lost in the house move

legend! thanks mate n00b question of the week potential???? we should start a thread haha -
so im doing the suspension up front myself, and have assembled the strut for installation. have anchored the strut using the top mount so i dont have to deal with the weight, and i put the outer ball joint into place in the bottom of the strut. i have not replaced this as it is fine. when i put the nut on to bolt the strut to it, the thread spins around and i cant get the nut tighter (is like a cock in a sock, its not even tightly on/loaded). tried to back the nut off and i cant do that either now how do i stop the thread from turning?????

I find the proposed rule for the first one tends to happen anyway when there is a car coming up behind the left turning car, the right turning car shouldnt go. For the second one, i honestly thought that was already the rule unless there was a roundabout in the middle.... so does this mean that rules at roundabouts will now change as well?

quite like those OG ones. was going to pull trigger on a set before i got my tech2 kit and didnt end up getting them. they look pretty neat though! though BBS is nice, they aree done to death, those are just that little bit different imo
-
nope none of that sh*t is in the car anymore lol have used a multimeter and both 12V and ACC are good. Have checked the ground on install but not again, though the LEDs light up and such like they are ment to so it obviously has a ground. Will try ACC on 12V and see if smoke appears etc
-
finished putting the rear suspension back together (havent installed the adjustable stuff yet though), took it out for a skid and then put it back in the garage and made a start on the front suspension! would still be going if Gran didnt want to buy a printer this arvo
-
maybe i wasnt quite clear? has constant 12V, acc 12V and ground hooked up, and i dont dissconnect the battery when im working on the car anymore, as i have fixed the power leak hmmm confused on this. Will give it another go tomorrow and if not ill hit you up about that. its not rocket science im sure, i just hope its not a dodgy unit lol
-
tried a VF card as well no change :S i currently only have power earth acc wired to the car as i dont want the alarm/immobilisation features as it will make it easier to find if the car is stolen and i already have an alarm, do you think this will be the reason? (btw please dont quote this post, i will delete it after my question has been answered)

sorted now i think. will let you know if anything changes
